Settling back into this body,

Into this space.

Allowing this body to soften and also be strong.

And if it feels good,

Moving into this tender space of loss,

Of grief,

Of transition.

And then noticing where you might feel it in your body.

If it feels good,

You could put a hand there,

Apply some pressure,

Gentle,

Loving touch.

Just a way to tell yourself,

I'm here,

I'm with you,

You can be here.

It's okay.

And breathing with this experience.

Softening with the emotions.

Allowing space for whatever arises.

And if thoughts come up,

Ideas or mental formations,

Inviting yourself to simply come back to your body,

To your breath,

To your feelings.

Holding yourself with care,

With gentleness.

And if it ever feels like too much,

You can take care of yourself.

Come out of the meditation.

Come back to something else,

Like maybe sounds in the room,

Or just the feeling of your breath in the body.

And knowing that you always have the opportunity to take a break,

And then if it feels good to return.

And being gentle with yourself in the process.

And staying here for however long feels good.
