Welcome,
My name is Marie and this meditation was created for self-compassion during hard times.
As we begin,
I want to remind you that no matter what you are experiencing right now,
You are worthy and deserving of love,
Joy,
Peace,
And healing.
I hope that you can turn to these affirmations to ground yourself in the present moment and remember how divine and wonderful you truly are.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze and start to bring awareness to your breath.
Notice your breath moving in and out of your body.
As you inhale,
Find grounding in this moment.
And as you exhale,
Find softness throughout your body.
Perhaps scan your body from head to toe and relax any tension as you continue to breathe.
As you focus on your breath,
I'd like to guide you in a deep breathing exercise that you can tap into if you're ever feeling anxious,
Stressed,
Or off-centered.
We'll inhale to the count of four and exhale to the count of six and I'll guide you through it.
Let's begin.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And bring your breath back to a natural rhythm.
Notice how you feel after deepening your breath.
I invite you to repeat the following affirmations silently or out loud to yourself.
I let go of what no longer serves me.
I let go of what no longer serves me.
I am not defined by my mistakes or flaws.
I am not defined by my mistakes or flaws.
I release the past and embrace the present.
I release the past and embrace the present.
I give myself grace and kindness.
I give myself grace and kindness.
I do my best with what I have.
I do my best with what I have.
I am strong and courageous,
Even on my worst days.
I am strong and courageous,
Even on my worst days.
I accept myself as I am.
I accept myself as I am.
I am resilient no matter what I'm going through.
I am resilient no matter what I'm going through.
I am at peace with myself.
I am at peace with myself.
I am worthy and deserving of a beautiful life.
I am worthy and deserving of a beautiful life.
As we close,
I invite you to take three collective breaths with me.
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
Two more.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Last one to seal it all in.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Thank you for allowing me to lead you in this practice of self-compassion during hard times.
Take good care.
