Hello,
Thank you so very much for trusting me with a little bit of your time today.
I can't even tell you how honored I am at the beautiful reviews and gifts of gratitude that people have been making.
I'm Maria.
I haven't been on Insight Timer for very long,
But I'm so grateful to be here to share my voice with you,
Hoping to elevate you in some way.
I'm hoping that the meditations that I offer here will be invitations for you to revisit them anytime you feel inspired,
Anytime you may need your love cup filled a little bit.
Today,
Right now,
We're going to share some time talking about gratitude.
Gratitude in the smallest of things can make our day run so much smoother,
Can make our life seem brighter,
Can actually cause our life to be brighter.
It is not a mirage,
It's a reality.
Your feelings,
Your emotions,
They are real.
You deserve to be happy and gratitude can help get you there.
Remain seated wherever you happen to be,
Whether you are in your car at a Walmart or at your office or taking a break in the backyard while you are doing chores.
Guard this time for yourself.
Sit upright,
Feeling your spine supporting your body.
Feeling your shoulders relax,
Feeling your hands gently relax onto your lap,
Palms facing upwards.
Close your eyes,
Breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Let's take three deep breaths together.
I'd like you to think about why you chose this meditation.
Gratitude.
Intentions for living a full day of gratitude.
Taking this time to bring into your awareness things or people that you appreciate.
Take an inventory of your life.
Think about yesterday.
I'd like you to think of one person that you are grateful for.
One interaction that comes to mind,
Whether it is a telephone call,
A text,
Or a smile,
An exchange of words in person.
I'd like you to send a thank you to that person that you interacted with.
Let's move to today.
I'd like you to actively search for a way that you can be kind today.
Go out of your way just a little bit to shower someone else with gratitude,
With love,
Someone you know or someone you may not know yet.
Going through your busy day,
Whether you are at a coffee shop,
A board meeting,
Or on social media,
Say something kind to someone else.
Gift them with a surprise of joy from you to them.
I'd like you to look forward now.
Look forward to tomorrow and bring to mind someone that you hope will cross your path.
This person can be someone you already know or a stranger that you haven't met yet.
Again,
The intention of bringing that person joy.
By sending out your intention,
You will bring an interaction to yourself.
You will bring that moment into your life.
By intending to shower someone else with gratitude,
Love,
Joy,
You will reap the benefits and feel those feelings in turn.
It's a beautiful cycle.
Nothing is truer than the more you give,
The more you receive.
Gratitude itself is a form of joy.
The more you live in that heightened state,
The more you will draw more experiences to yourself that vibrate at that same frequency.
You've reflected on yesterday,
Today,
And tomorrow.
Let's move inward,
Focusing just on you.
With each inhale and exhale,
The breath is moving through your body with no effort at all.
Gratitude to our own bodies,
Our lungs,
Our abdominal muscles,
Our throat,
Our nasal passages,
The air that is around our body,
The air that separates each hair from the others,
The air that is gently resting on the palms of our hands.
I'd like you to wiggle your fingers very gently,
Feeling the blood course through your hands.
Imagine a beautiful,
Bright light in each of your palms.
Joy.
Gratitude.
Everlasting love.
I want you to bring your palms up to your heart center,
Feeling that bright light nourish your heart,
Knowing that you will never run out of love.
Gratitude for this life that you are in.
Gratitude for the ability to share.
Place your hands in prayer position in front of your heart,
Palms facing each other,
Touching always with energy,
Connecting.
There is so much more to life.
Go ahead and open your eyes when you are ready.
Thank you so much for joining me right now,
And I hope you come back another day.
Namaste.
