Hi,
This is Mirelle.
Welcome to an Empaths meditation.
The intention of today is to guide you towards understanding your empathetic qualities,
Letting go of empathy and embracing compassion towards yourself,
Others and life to establish a life full of peace,
Love and acceptance.
Many of us,
Particularly in this wonderful insight time or community,
Identify as Empaths.
Empaths are very strongly connected to the energy of those around them.
As Empaths,
We can strongly feel the emotions,
Thoughts and feelings of others.
Having empathic qualities is very powerful.
These qualities provide the opportunity to truly understand how others are feeling.
Possessing the ability to connect with how others are feeling and to project love onto that is beautiful.
But as an Empath,
Typically,
If you see sadness,
You will feel sadness.
If what you are observing is that expression of anger,
You may feel angry.
Mirroring the energy of the person or situation does not serve you nor them and it invokes unnecessary suffering for both of you.
It can be exhausting to be an Empath.
Empathy is simply joining the person in suffering.
To break this cycle,
First of all,
You need to be aware of it.
Start to become aware of when you may be feeling other people's energy.
It is as easy as asking yourself,
Is this my energy or that of another?
You can begin to tune yourself to recognize this immediately.
Once you recognize that you may be taking on another person's energy,
This is the time to make the intention to remain grounded in your own energy.
Welcome the awareness and create the intention to remain grounded.
Protecting yourself through visualization is a powerful way to guard your energy.
Imagining an invisible bubble of light that only allows positive energy in and guides negative energy to bounce off and diffuse is an extremely effective method.
Creating an intention to be connected with your energy and the positive energy of others is a dynamic way to stay true to your authentic self.
And lastly,
Recognizing that you and others are best served by being compassionate rather than taking on their energy.
Compassion is the highest expression of projecting love onto others.
Practicing compassion towards others is a beautiful way to become aware of and acknowledge the unfolding of life.
The journey to replacing your empathetic qualities with compassion will liberate you to recognize the beauty of you and everyone around you as well as the innate beauty of the human journey.
Let us start with three grounding breaths.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Take a second deep breath in and release.
Take a third and final deep breath in and release.
At this moment,
Reflect on your expressions of empathy.
Have you labeled yourself as an empath?
How empathetic do you consider yourself to be?
How do you react to others' reactions?
Do you take on others' energy?
Are you aware when you take on others' energy?
I will pause a moment to provide the opportunity to explore.
Wonderful.
Now that you have connected,
Take the opportunity to let go of everything that you connected with.
Let go of taking on other people's emotions.
Let go of identifying as being an empath.
And release,
Release,
Release.
Trust your body will know what to do.
Trust your body.
Fantastic.
Now,
Create an intention of your desire to shift from taking on other people's energies to radiating compassion.
Let us redefine an empath as one that emits compassion towards self and others.

Wonderful.
Now,
Let's create an intention to ground in your own energy.
Visualize a protective bubble of light.
Imagine you within this bubble.
And this bubble of light allows positive energy to enter and negative energy to bounce off and diffuse.
Let this light envelope you with its rich,
Warm,
Caring embrace.
Continue with this visualization through the day,
Particularly when you may be feeling the energy of others.
I will pause.
Wonderful.
Take a deep breath in of peace.
And release.
Take a deep breath in of love.
And release.
Take in a deep breath of compassion.
And release.
I will pause once again to allow these concepts to integrate.
Create any further intentions for you.
Wonderful.
The path to shifting from empathy to compassion may not happen immediately.
It has taken you years of conditioning to adopt these behaviors.
Watch yourself as you might adopt reactions of empathy and gently replace them with empowering thoughts and feelings of compassion.
Feel free to return to this meditation until you recondition yourself to discover and embrace the life that you want to live.
Let go of the concept of time and honor that your shift will occur at the time best for your highest good.
