The audio comprises of a short guided meditation followed by a poem called "I Am What I Am In The Midst Of What I Am Not." The purpose of this meditation and poetry is to orient the listener towards nondual awareness that has the same quality as the silence underneath the sounds: no beginning or end. I hope it facilitates your spiritual practice and reminds you of the true nature that lies underneath sensory experiences.

Hello,

I am Mahip and welcome to the Non-Dual Poetry Series.

In this contemplative meditation practice,

I will lead a meditation and take you into a non-dual experience through one of my poems.

I hope you enjoy this and please feel free to leave questions and comments in the review section and I will get back to you soon.

So let's begin with the meditation.

Take a position that's most comfortable for you.

If you're sitting down,

Make sure your back is straight and all the distractions such as phone or any other work is away and then take all your attention,

Take all your focus and place it on your breathing sensations.

Take a long breath in and breathe out.

Take a breath in,

Hold for a second and breathe out.

One more breath in,

Notice the sensations and breathe out.

Now continue to breathe and make sure to be present with your breath.

If your attention wanders away,

Bring it back to the breathing sensations.

If you realize that you are lost in thoughts or memories,

That's okay.

That is part of meditation practice.

The more mind drifts away,

The more opportunities you have to come back.

And the more you come back,

The stronger your ability to be here becomes.

Often in life,

We get distressed by the situations,

By relationships we are in,

By outside factors.

And that is when it's necessary to come back to the grounding of yourself,

To remember who you are in this moment.

And therefore,

We are using the breathing sensations as an anchor to come back to the present moment and to be out of that thinking ruminating cycle that keeps us stuck in past events or future imaginations.

We use the anchor of breath to bring ourselves back to the reality of this moment.

Come back the second you realize that you are wandering into past or future.

Compassionately,

Slowly pull yourself back to here,

To the now.

Today's poetry is called,

I am what I am in the midst of what I am not.

I am thunder in the middle of clouds.

I am clarity when there is doubt.

I am truth when false is all around.

I am silence underneath the sound.

I am freedom that lies in the prison.

I am knowledge that needs no book.

I am peace when there is turbulence.

I am love when hate is everywhere you look.

I am light when dark is the land.

I am clap that needs no hand.

I am the way when all doors are closed.

I am hope when fear is imposed.

I am right here where you stand.

I am the water within the sand.

Look for me and you shall find.

Doesn't matter even if you are blind.

Look for me all day and night.

Look beyond what's wrong or right.

Look for me all year round because my only desire is to be found.
