Deeply relax and be guided on a sacred journey of yoga nidra for healing. Yoga nidra for healing takes you through the koshas of body, energy and mind where physical, emotional and mental blockages can reside. Through deep relaxation, you release all holding and feel deeply supported by your ancestors and guides, as you rest in timeless awareness. You awake refreshed, renewed and aware of a new way of being.

Yoga Nidra,

Sacred healing.

Set up your space so that it feels sacred.

Have multiple blankets underneath your body,

Any support for your neck or low back.

Have a warm blanket to place upon the body and layers of clothing to ensure that you are comfortable and warm throughout the practice.

Place a light weight scarf or eye pillow across the eyes and make any final adjustments you need to completely relax.

Legs wider than the hips,

Arms resting by your side with palms facing up.

And then take a nice deep breath in through the nose and then out through the mouth and feel the body relax.

Take another breath in through the nose and perhaps make a deep sigh out through the mouth and feel the body respond and let go.

Letting go of tension,

Stress and all responsibility in this moment.

There is nothing to do,

Nothing to get done,

No responsibilities.

Simply relax and feel the body supported by the earth and sends the space that the body occupies,

The space all around the body.

And sends that there is an invisible dome that surrounds the body.

This dome is one of healing and sends that it is made up of any element that you choose,

Star dust,

Fire,

Water,

Perhaps even moonlight,

Sensing that this dome surrounds the body and is one of healing.

And sends outside of this dome another dome surrounding the body and this one is made up of nurturance and whatever element feels appropriate for you.

And beyond this dome is another,

A third layer and this one is of protection,

Sensing your guides,

Your ancestors,

Any beings supporting you and protecting you in this moment.

And then bring your awareness back inward from the layer of protection,

The layer of nurturance,

The layer of healing and bring awareness back to the body relaxed upon the earth and feel yourself more deeply relaxed as it is surrounded by healing,

Nurturance and protection.

And since the body breathing,

Notice the natural flow of breath in and out through the nose,

A smooth rhythm of inhale and exhale occurring naturally without effort.

And then begin to deepen the breath,

Taking a deeper inhale and a more complete exhale.

And since how the belly rises with the inhalation and falls gently with the exhalation,

The chest is still,

Abdomen is soft,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Each time you breathe in there is a sense of breathing in,

Healing and nurturance,

Support and ease and each time you breathe out there's a sense of deep release,

A letting go,

Perhaps even a surrender.

Breathing in,

Ease,

Nurturance and healing and surrendering all effort with the exhale,

Continuing to breathe in and breathe out.

Feel effortlessness and awareness of breath.

And then relax the breath and since the breath come into a perfect rhythm for you in this moment,

As the body deeply relaxes,

It finds the perfect rhythm that is easeful,

Restful and restorative.

And then bring awareness to the point between the eyes,

Feel the flesh between the eyes and relax.

And as you bring awareness to this point,

Sense that this point is imbued with healing and nurturance,

That there is a boundless well of healing and nurturance.

And if you are comfortable,

You can repeat the words,

Om som,

Om som.

Som is the boundless reservoir of healing,

Of nurturance,

Of revitalization,

Mentally repeating om som,

Or if you prefer,

Repeating mentally,

Healing and nurturance.

And sense the body receive through this point,

This boundless healing life force.

And then bring awareness to the center of the throat,

Sensing this presence of healing and nurturance,

Mentally repeating om som.

And feel the body receiving that boundless healing,

That boundless nurturance,

That boundless support.

Awareness to the center of the right shoulder joint,

Om som.

Continuing to mentally repeat om som,

Or healing and nurturance mentally,

As we move through these different points in the body.

Awareness center of the right elbow,

Om som.

Center of the right wrist,

Om som receive,

Healing and nurturance.

Tip of the right thumb,

The presence of om som.

Tip of the right index finger,

Om som.

Tip of the right middle finger,

Healing and nurturance,

Om som.

Tip of the right ring finger,

Right little finger,

Center of the right wrist,

Om som.

Right elbow,

Presence of healing and nurturance.

Right shoulder joint,

Om som.

Center of the throat,

Relax,

Om som.

Left shoulder joint,

Be effortless,

Om som.

Left elbow,

Center of the left wrist.

Tip of the left thumb,

Presence of healing and nurturance,

Om som.

Tip of the left index finger,

Tip of the left middle finger,

Left ring finger,

Om som.

Left little finger,

Presence of the center of the left wrist,

Om som receive.

Left elbow,

Om som.

Left shoulder,

Center of the throat.

Center of presence in the center of the chest,

A spiritual heart deep in the body,

Sensing om som and receiving healing and nurturance.

Center of the right chest,

Om som.

Heart center.

Navel center,

Near the spine,

Om som.

Top of the sacrum,

Relax,

Receive healing and nurturance.

Center of the right hip,

Om som.

Right knee,

Center of the right hip,

Om som.

Right knee,

Center of the right ankle,

Tip of the right big toe,

Om som.

Tip of the right second toe,

Right third toe,

Right fourth toe,

And fifth.

Center of the ankle,

Om som.

Right knee,

Right hip,

Top of the sacrum.

Center of the left hip joint,

Om som.

Left knee,

Om som.

Center of the left ankle,

Tip of the left big toe,

Om som.

Left second toe,

Left third toe,

Om som.

Left fourth toe,

Fifth toe.

Left ankle,

Om som.

Left knee,

Left hip,

Om som,

Healing and nurturance.

Top of the sacrum,

Navel center.

Heart center deep in the body,

Relax.

Sense that boundless reservoir of healing and nurturance.

Center of the throat,

Midbrain,

Om som,

Healing and nurturance in the midbrain.

And then sense all of these points at once,

Like a constellation of lights in a night sky,

You outstretched on the earth,

Watching the stars,

These lights,

Your own personal constellation,

Body is effortless,

And the breath is effortless as it blows through the spaciousness between each light.

And there is an awareness that I am not the doer.

I am not the doer,

And I am not the breather.

I am spacious awareness through which the breath moves.

I am spacious awareness.

Sense the breath as a wave of life force that moves effortlessly through space.

You are spacious awareness through which the wave of life force moves.

And becoming aware of a presence in the outer edges of that space,

A presence of healing,

A presence of nurturance,

And a presence of support.

And since it beginning to move closer to you,

And as this presence moves closer to you,

You realize that that presence has many forms,

The form of ancestors,

The form of angels,

The form of guides,

The form of wisdom keepers,

Allowing them to come and circle around your body,

Inviting them to hold sacred space for you,

Feel them encircling you,

Holding space for you.

Feel yourself soften and relax more deeply with the awareness of their presence,

Of their healing,

Nurturing,

And supportive presence.

And if you feel comfortable,

Allowing them to place their hands upon your body where you want a healing,

An anointment,

Or a blessing,

Whether that be upon the physical body,

The mental,

Emotional,

Or perhaps even spiritual body.

And as they place their hands upon you,

Sensing the deep well of love,

The deep well of compassion,

The deep well of healing,

Nurturance,

And support,

And feel yourself open to receive.

Be effortless and receive.

As you receive this blessing,

Healing,

Or anointment,

Feel a sense of gratitude,

Deep gratitude,

With the love and support of all of your ancestors,

Guides,

Angels,

Benevolent beings.

Deep gratitude,

Knowing that that support and that healing and that love is always there,

Always present.

And then sense the body becoming surrounded in a rose-colored light,

Like a cloud of rose surrounding the body.

Feel the body relax as it is held in this cloud of light,

Rose light,

Body dissolving into this rose light,

So that the space within and the space without is rose light.

The rose light is you,

And you are the rose light.

You are the embodiment of rose light,

Body completely dissolved into rose light.

You are the space that you occupy,

Rose light.

Body sleeps,

Mind sleeps,

Aware of rose light.

You are the space that you occupy,

Rose light.

You are the space that you occupy,

Rose light.

You are the space that you occupy,

Rose light.

You are the space that you occupy,

Rose light.

You are the space that you occupy,

Rose light.

Become aware of the breath,

Sensing the breath as it moves in and out of the body.

Begin to deepen the breath,

Allowing the breath to bring in sensation,

Sensation into the body.

As sensation enters the body,

Begin to move your fingers and toes,

Perhaps even drawing the arms up overhead and stretching through the full body.

No urgency,

No rush.

Draw the knees into the chest and roll to your right side and rest here in the fetal position.

Taking your time from the transition of yoga nidra back,

Resting here as long as you want or need.

And then when you're ready,

Transitioning to your seat and making your way back.

The practice is now complete.
