Find a comfortable seat,
Spine tall.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And then take two more deep breaths.
Deep breath in and deep breath out.
Just feeling yourself settle into your body and settling into the space that your body occupies.
And just noticing in this moment in your body,
In this unique space,
In this unique time,
If you need any additional support so that you can be comfortable,
So that you can feel held and supported.
And then connect to your breath,
Just feeling the soft flow of the breath in and out through the nose.
And just noticing the uniqueness of the breath,
How the inhale has its own unique qualities and the exhale has its own unique qualities.
How the inhale feels full and supportive,
Nurturing and revitalizing.
And how the exhale,
There's a sense of releasing,
Of letting go,
And feeling more grounded and held.
And then contemplate for a moment those things that you are ready to release,
Such as beliefs,
Non-constructive or disempowering beliefs that keep you stuck or feeling heavy or repeating patterns that are unhealthy.
Or perhaps sensing the emotions that are tied to those beliefs.
Perhaps emotions of sadness or grief,
Of shame or blame or regret.
Or perhaps there's an experience or a memory that you want to let go of.
And just witnessing these things without judging,
Without inflicting harm upon yourself,
But just witnessing those things that you feel ready to release.
And then take a deep breath in,
Deep breath out,
And bring your awareness to the space the body occupies,
The space all around you.
And sense that this space is not empty,
That is filled with a light that is vibrating with healing,
Support and nurturance.
And sense that this light has a violet hue,
So that you are surrounded in this violet light.
You are surrounded in this violet light of healing,
Of nurturance and of support.
Feel yourself relax.
Bring your attention to the top of the head,
To the crown.
And when you notice your body breathe in,
Feel yourself draw this violet light through the crown of the head,
Down through the spine,
Into the heart and into the lungs.
So you breathe in,
You feel the violet light draw in through the crown of the head and descend down into the heart,
Filling the heart space and filling the lungs.
And then sense that this healing and nurturing light gathers up all the darkness and heaviness associated with the beliefs,
With the emotions,
With the experiences that impair your ability to move forward,
To forgive,
To feel lightness and joy in your life.
And with the exhale the violet light spreads through the heart,
Through the lungs,
Gathering up all the heaviness,
All the darkness.
And with your next inhale the violet light pulls it from the heart,
From the lungs,
Up to the crown of the head.
With the next exhale feel the heaviness and the darkness,
The beliefs,
The emotions.
Leave the body through the crown of the head and disperse into space.
So breathing in you draw in the violet light from all around you through the crown of the head,
Into the heart and into the lungs.
With the exhale you feel it spread through the heart and the lungs gathering up,
Anything that you feel ready to release that overshadows the light of the heart.
With the next inhale you feel the violet light pull the darkness,
The heaviness,
To the crown of the head.
And with the next exhale you feel it dispersed vast and wide into the heavens like an offering.
Offering back anything that is no longer yours to carry,
No longer yours to hold on to.
Sensing the weight and the burden of the emotions,
The beliefs,
The patterns and the habits of the past being released from the heart,
The lungs,
Through the crown of the head.
Continuing for several more breaths.
Don't worry about trying to think about an experience or a belief or a feeling simply trusting that the process is working.
The violet light is purifying and cleansing the heart and sensing that you are becoming lighter,
More free and more expansive with each cycle of breath.
You and then relax and bring your awareness to the center of your chest just behind the breastbone in front of the spine,
The spiritual heart.
Resting your awareness here,
The abode of peace,
The abode of eternal joy and light and love.
And knowing the more that we release what clouds our perception,
The more we can connect to that unchanging aspect of ourselves,
What is eternal and true within us.
And resting here in the heart as long as you feel you need or want,
And when you feel ready to simply bow your head down slightly,
Bringing your hands together at your heart space,
And make an offering to your own heart,
A prayer,
A blessing.
And then take a deep breath in,
A deep breath out.
And when you're ready,
Simply opening your eyes and making your way back.
The practice is now complete.
