The space between questions is long enough to get an answer and just short enough to not let your brain take over. Thank you for joining me for this guided journey to meet one of your spirit guides.

I'm Lindsay and I'm so grateful you chose me as your guide on this journey meditation to help you connect with and start to build a relationship with one of your guides.

This meditation may be much different than others you've done.

This is an active meditation.

You will be observing your experience and I encourage you to journal about it immediately after our time together.

We will set the intention that you are going on a journey to meet your guide and then I'll guide you to a place in the spirit world to meet your guide.

While this isn't a shamanic journey,

Many of the same principles apply if you are familiar with shamanic journey.

We will set an intention,

We will travel to non-ordinary reality and we will come back the same way we went out.

During this meditation,

You may have thoughts,

Feelings,

Images,

Or sensations that come up.

Trust that whatever is happening for you during this time,

Even if it is nothing,

Is perfect for you at this moment.

Release judgments about making things up or trying to control or rationalize your experience.

Simply be a curious observer and trust that whatever is coming through or not is right for you.

Please get into a quiet place free from distractions or obligations.

Get into a comfortable position,

Either sitting up tall with feet flat on the floor or lying comfortably in bed.

Make any final adjustments to make yourself just a bit more comfortable but not so comfortable that you fall asleep.

Now let's begin with three deep breaths.

Exhale all air out.

Take a big inhale in through your nose and slow exhale out through your mouth.

Inhale in through your nose and slow exhale out through your mouth.

Last one,

Big inhale in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Now let's bring awareness to your space.

No need to change anything,

Just bringing your awareness to any sounds around you.

Notice how the air feels on your skin.

Now bringing your attention to your body.

Our bodies hold a wealth of information and they're always communicating with us.

What is your body telling you?

Maybe you feel a kink in your neck,

A flutter in your belly or an ache in your knee.

No need to change anything.

Simply bring your awareness to your body.

Now I want you to imagine a golden cord coming up from the center of the earth and connecting to the base of your spine,

Also known as the root chakra.

This allows mother earth to help keep you grounded.

Now imagine a golden cord coming down from the universe,

Connecting in to the top of your head,

Also known as the crown chakra.

This cord allows you to be divinely connected and protected.

Now connected to both mother earth's grounding energy and the universe's divine energy,

The combined current runs through your body in a figure eight.

Cleansing,

Clearing and balancing your energy centers for this journey.

Now set your intention by repeating after me either aloud or in your mind.

I'm going on a journey to meet one of my spirit guides.

Now I want you to imagine getting up from where you are sitting or laying and walk towards the front door of your home.

As you open the door,

You no longer see a street,

Homes or other buildings.

In front of you is a beautiful field.

As you walk down the steps,

You step barefoot into that field,

Noticing how the grass feels on your feet.

Look up to the sky and notice if it's day or night.

Notice if there are any clouds or if the sky is clear.

Notice the temperature of the air around you or the fresh smells in the air.

You see a mountain ahead of you just off to the left.

It calls you to come towards it.

As you take your first few steps,

You notice a stream ahead with a walking path alongside of it to your right hand side.

It appears to be going around the base of the mountain.

Take that path.

Along your walk,

Notice any plants or animals along the way.

Maybe you see some trees or flowers.

Maybe some butterflies,

Dragonflies,

Eagles or sparrows.

Whatever is coming up for you,

No matter how unusual,

Ordinary or uneventful it may seem,

Know that it is perfect for you.

As you come around the bend on your path,

You see a small bridge over the stream to a house.

Before you cross the bridge,

I want you to observe the bridge.

What does it look like?

What color is it?

What is it made from?

Can you feel it beneath your feet as you begin to walk over it?

Again,

No need to change anything.

Just be the curious observer.

Stop in the middle of the bridge.

Take a look into the stream.

What does the water look like?

Is it clear or murky?

Does it appear shallow or deep?

How fast or slow is the water running?

Are there any fish or amphibians in the water?

Continue to the other side of the bridge towards the house.

It has a very warm,

Inviting energy.

Notice what the house looks like,

What it's made out of,

And what the front door looks like.

You can feel that you are welcome here.

You know it's a place that you can come to for rest and nourishment for your mind and spirit.

The door opens and greeting you with a smile is one of your spirit guides.

Your guide invites you to come into the home.

Look around the home and notice the decor.

Is there any furniture?

Any decorations on the wall?

Maybe there's a fireplace.

Now look towards your guide.

You may see,

Feel,

Sense,

Or just know that your guide is there.

Or you may notice nothing at all.

Remember that whatever is happening for you right now is perfect.

You have the opportunity to communicate with your guide right now.

They may communicate with words,

Images,

Feelings,

Memories,

Sensations,

Sounds,

Or other non-ordinary means.

Trust that whatever comes through is true and you aren't making anything up.

The first question I want you to ask your guide is,

What is your name?

Simply wait and trust that the first answer is the correct answer.

Next,

Ask your guide how long they've been with you.

Our guides play different roles in our life.

Some are career guides.

There are spiritual guides.

Gift or skill development guides.

Project guides.

Life guides.

And many other roles.

Ask your guide what their role is in your life right now.

Next,

Ask your guide if they have a gift for you.

This may be a physical gift,

A message,

A healing,

Or other form of gift.

Be open to and trust that whatever comes through,

No matter how ordinary,

Unusual,

Or uneventful it may be,

Is right.

Lastly,

Ask if there is anything else your guide wants to tell you at this time.

It's time to return back to ordinary reality.

Know that you can come back to visit this home and your guides whenever you wish.

Thank your guide for their time and say your goodbyes.

Step out of the house and start walking back towards the bridge.

Pause for a moment when you get to the middle of the bridge.

Notice if anything has changed.

Perhaps the time of day,

The temperature,

The smells,

Or maybe even the bridge itself looks differently,

Or the water in the stream has changed.

Continue across the bridge and start walking down the path,

With the stream now on your left and the mountain on your right,

Back to your home.

Observe your surroundings along the way.

Whatever you see,

Feel,

Sense,

Or not is perfect and right for you now.

Coming back to your front door,

Step inside and walk back to where you were sitting or laying and come back into your body.

Let's take three deep breaths here,

Bringing love and gratitude for your journey that you have just been on to meet one of your guides.

Big inhale in through your nose,

Slow exhale out of your mouth.

Inhale in through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

Last one,

Big inhale in through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

Start to bring your awareness back into your room,

Back into your space.

Bring your awareness back to any sounds around you,

The temperature of the room,

And the way the chair or the bed supports your body.

Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes,

Coming fully back into yourself,

Fully present.

And when you're ready,

Simply open your eyes.

Best spirit guide meditation on the app. I return to it again and again and see different things every time. This shorter one works better first thing in the morning when you're still half asleep. The longer version is better for when you've been awake and active.
