Thank you for joining me for this guided reclamation ritual for when truth feels terrifying to say out loud.
I'm Lindsay and I'm so glad you're here.
This isn't a meditation to make you louder.
It's a practice to help you feel safe enough to speak.
Even when your voice shakes.
Even when it trembles.
Even when silence feels safer than truth.
Let's begin.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Deep breath in.
Exhale completely.
Now gently place one hand on your throat and one hand on your heart.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
Feel the weight of your truth.
Even if you don't know what that is quite yet.
Now bring your awareness to your throat and notice any tightness.
Any sensation.
Any thoughts,
Feelings,
Textures,
Shapes that come up.
And notice any silence that lives there.
You don't need to fix it.
I just want you to witness it.
Now repeat this quietly and if it's too tender,
You can even repeat this in your mind.
Even if I shake,
I'm allowed to speak.
Even if I'm misunderstood,
My truth is sacred.
Even if I cry,
My voice still counts.
Let those words echo inside of you.
Let them soften the edges.
Let them hum behind your sternum.
Now bring to mind one truth that you've been afraid to say.
It doesn't have to be big.
It might be something small.
I'm tired.
I'm angry.
I'm not okay.
I want more.
I can't do this anymore.
I feel invisible.
I need help.
Let that truth,
Whatever it is,
Big or small,
Let it rise inside of you.
Like a whisper.
Like a thread.
Like a pulse.
And when you're ready,
Say it out loud.
If you can't just yet,
I want you to whisper it.
Mouth it.
Think it.
Even write it.
But let it exist outside of the prison of silence,
Outside of your body.
This is not about speaking to others.
This is about speaking to you.
Let your body hear the truth.
Let your breath carry it.
Let your voice hold it.
Now take one more deep breath.
And this time,
Exhale with sound.
Any sound at all.
Hum it out.
Sigh it out.
Cry it out.
Growl it out.
Let your voice rise however it needs to.
You're not broken.
You're reclaiming something holy.
You are allowed to speak.
Even unfinished,
Even shaking.
Now place both hands over your heart and whisper,
My voice is not too much.
It's just true.
Let's take a big inhale in.
Cleanse and exhale out.
Beautiful.
Coming back slowly to your space and carrying your voice with you as you come back.
Even if it trembles.
Even if it's messy.
Even if no one understands.
Speak it anyway.
