I'm Lindsay and I'm so grateful you chose me as your guide to help you relax your mind,
Body,
And spirit for a restful night's sleep.
Our bodies hold all of the thoughts,
Feelings,
And emotions from our days,
Our weeks,
Months,
And even our entire life.
Releasing the energy from today will help you fall asleep tonight more peacefully.
To do this,
I'll walk you through a gratitude body scan.
During this meditation,
You may have thoughts,
Feelings,
Images,
Or sensations that come up.
Really allow them to come and go like clouds in the sky.
Release judgment or the need to change anything right now.
Please be in a quiet place,
Free from distractions or obligations.
Get into a comfortable position,
Preferably lying comfortably in bed.
It's okay if you fall asleep during this meditation.
Let's start with three deep breaths.
Breathe all air out.
Inhale in through your nose.
Slow exhale out through your mouth.
Inhale in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Bring your awareness to your space.
No need to change anything.
Just bring your awareness to any sounds around you.
Notice how the air feels on your skin.
Perhaps it's warm or perhaps it's cold.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Feel how the bed supports your body,
Allowing you to fully surrender to this moment.
Make any final adjustments to make yourself just a bit more comfortable.
Now we're going to scan your body.
I want you to listen to what your body may be telling you.
Pay attention to any feelings,
Sensations,
Aches,
Tension or pain as you scan your body.
Starting at the top of your head,
Begin to slowly move your awareness down your body.
Down through your throat.
Down to your shoulders.
Down through your arms.
Into your hands and into your fingertips.
Continue the scan down your chest,
Moving to your stomach and your back.
Be aware of what your body is communicating with you,
Allowing whatever is there to be there without judgment.
Continue down your hips.
Down your thighs.
Down your knees.
Down your calves.
Into your ankles.
And finally to your feet.
Our bodies do so much for us.
We often forget how incredible and awe-inspiring we humans truly are.
How magnificent you are.
Let's show your body some love and appreciation to release the day and drift off to sleep.
Bring your awareness to your feet.
Your beautiful,
Strong and resilient feet that carry you from one place to the next.
They help you to stay grounded and balanced.
Send your feet love and gratitude for all they do for you each and every day.
Bring your awareness to your legs.
Your strong,
Stabilizing,
Powerful legs that enable your movement through life.
Walking,
Running,
Skipping,
Skiing,
Skating,
Lifting or more.
Your legs help you stay flexible and agile in life.
Send your legs some love and gratitude for the mobility they give you each day.
Bring your awareness to your torso.
It houses so many functions.
From filtration to regulation.
From breath to the ability to create life.
These are parts of us that process what we consume physically,
Emotionally,
Mentally and energetically.
Thank your torso and send it so much love for helping you optimally function each and every moment.
Bring your awareness to your arms and hands.
Together,
They create beauty in the world.
Hold and comfort others with a warm embrace and help you communicate without words.
There is little more powerful than a simple hug in this world.
Send love and gratitude to your arms and hands for the magic they bring to your life each day.
Bring your awareness to your heart.
Life begins and ends with a single heartbeat.
Your heart does so much more than pump and filter your blood.
It is the command center for your body and your soul.
It connects us to one another.
Allowing us to feel and experience someone else on a level that is hard to explain.
Send love and thank your heart for animating you and giving you the opportunity to live the full human experience.
Bring your awareness to your throat.
The throat is your manifestation center,
Your communication center.
Your throat allows you to express your thoughts,
Feelings and ideas.
It allows you to tell someone you love and appreciate them.
Send your throat love and appreciation for giving you the gift of expression.
Bring your awareness to your head.
Your head allows you to experience the beauty in the world through your eyes,
Ears,
Nose and mouth.
It is where your ideas and your brilliance originate.
It is also your connection to your intuition and the divine.
Thank your head and send it love for all of the incredible gifts it gives you through your senses and imagination every day.
Bring your awareness to your higher self.
The part of you that walks in the higher realms and the 3D reality in which you live.
It's that part of you that is guiding you to fulfill your highest purpose and destiny.
It whispers guidance and encouragement to you every day.
Send your higher self love and appreciation for being your biggest advocate and trusted co-creator in this life.
Stay in this space of love and gratitude for your beautiful body as long as you wish.
Know that you can come back to this feeling anytime you like by bringing love and gratitude to all the parts of you.
