Navigate the grieving process with this gentle meditation designed to help you heal from loss. Through breathwork and visualization, this practice encourages the release of sound and emotion as a way to let go and honor your feelings. The visualization element includes a suggested conversation with the person you’ve lost, though this may feel too soon for some—proceed at your own pace. Tears are welcomed as a natural and beautiful part of the healing process. Practice in a safe, quiet space where you can fully relax and express yourself. Do not listen while operating heavy machinery. This meditation is here to support you with compassion and care as you move through your grief.

Hello,

My name is Carla and this is a guided meditation to help you to work through your grieving process.

Find a comfortable seat or lie down flat on your back.

If it feels necessary then go into a fetal position on your left side.

It is important to know that grieving is a process.

There is no quick fix here.

You are taking a great step by taking some processing time for yourself and you will need to continue allowing yourself to feel through everything that comes up whenever it comes up.

And there will surely be joy in between too.

Begin by tapping into the flow of your breath.

Begin to slow the breath down.

Breathing fully into the belly.

Feeling it expand and exhaling slowly.

Feeling all of the air leaving your lungs.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Allow yourself to release with some sound too.

Whatever sound needs to come out,

Just allow it.

If it's a sigh or a grow,

It doesn't matter.

Just allow.

Breathe in deeply and release sound on the exhale.

Breathe in deeply and release sound on the exhale.

If tears come at any point,

Then welcome them and allow them to flow out of your body.

Tears are a powerful way to allow emotion to release from your body.

This is your time to release.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Allow it.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Continue this breathing for a few minutes.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Breathe in deeply,

Release sound.

Allow yourself now to think of the person that you have lost.

Allow their image to come into your mind's eye.

See them at their happiest,

In their full glory,

While you have incurred a physical loss and that person is not here in that form anymore.

Their energy and their memory lives on always.

Energy cannot be created nor destroyed.

It only transforms.

The joy they brought into this world echoes out infinitely.

They live on within you.

Allow yourself to feel the physical absence.

Allow yourself to cry if it comes up and you are fortunate if it does.

Allow,

Allow,

Allow.

Accept,

Accept,

Accept.

See them smiling at you.

Know that they are happy.

Know that they are peaceful.

Know that all is as it should be.

Know that it is acceptable for you to take this time to release.

See them peaceful,

Happy,

Surrounded by light and tell them anything that you wish to communicate.

I will allow you some time and see if they say anything back.

Allow your imagination to guide this process.

Blessings.

Say your thank yous to your loved one and bid them goodbye,

Knowing that you can access them in this way whenever you wish.

Give yourself a hug.

Acknowledge your braveness in facing this raw emotion.

Acknowledge the healing that has come through to you.

Acknowledge that you have moved along within your grieving process.

Congratulate yourself for showing up today.

Place your hands over your heart space and breathe there for a while.

And when you feel ready,

You can wiggle your toes and come back into the room.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

And breathe love and compassion for you in this process.

I had such a powerful release to bring me closer to acceptance. The space to talk to my mom brought me from tears to smiling by the end. I feel closer to wholeness
