Lifting the lid of spiritual perfectionism.
This is a guided meditation for releasing the need to be perfect and embracing the present moment.
Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
This is a healing and reflective meditation experience.
This space is for you to soften,
To explore,
And to reconnect with a part of you that already knows you are enough,
Exactly as you are.
This meditation invites you to let go of the pressure to be perfect.
It's a gentle return to your natural rhythm,
To trust,
To stillness,
And to your inner knowing.
Often,
We strive so hard to do everything right,
To care for everyone,
To fix every little thing,
That we lose sight of the good,
The joy,
And the simple truth of what is.
Let this be a moment of returning,
Of easing the pressure,
Of choosing peace over perfection.
Let's begin.
Settle yourself into a comfortable position.
You may choose to sit upright with your spine long and relaxed,
Or you can lie down with your arms gently by your sides.
Let your body feel symmetrical and supported.
And your hands,
They can rest softly on your lap,
Or beside you,
Palms open.
When you feel ready,
Let your eyes gently close.
Let your awareness turn inward,
And allow the outside world to fade into the background.
And then take a long,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Gently release it through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in,
And breathe out.
Let your breath be slow,
Soft,
And unforced.
With every inhale,
Invite in calm,
And with every exhale,
Release tension.
And begin to extend the length of your exhalation.
Let each out-breath be a gentle letting go,
Releasing any weight,
Any expectations,
Any pressure.
Let your breathing settle into its natural rhythm.
As you follow the path of your inhale,
Into your chest,
Into your belly,
Down to the base of your spine.
And with your exhale,
Feel the body soften.
You can let go of what you're holding on to.
You can let go of the mental noise.
And you can let go of the feeling that you need to be anywhere or anything other than what you are right now.
Now gently invite a sense of gratitude into your heart.
Gratitude for this breath.
Gratitude for this moment.
Gratitude for your willingness to show up for yourself.
And feel into this gratitude,
Not just as a thought,
But as a sensation.
And let it move through your chest.
Let gratitude expand throughout your body.
Gratitude opens the path to presence,
To healing,
To becoming.
Everything that has brought you here,
Every lesson,
Every challenge,
Has served a purpose.
And now you are here.
Ready.
Let your attention rest gently on your breath.
And if your mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just notice it and gently guide your awareness back to the breath.
In.
And out.
Feel the rhythm.
Let it soothe you.
Each inhale,
A gentle invitation.
Each exhale,
A release.
And now with every out breath,
You can imagine you are letting go of something old.
Maybe it's comparison.
Maybe it's judgment.
Maybe it's the voice that says,
Not good enough.
Let it all dissolve with the exhale.
Release it all out into the air.
Letting go of all the could-haves,
All the should-haves,
And all the if-onlys.
Letting go of the need to control or to get everything right.
Letting go.
You are safe.
You are grounded.
You are whole.
Let yourself feel lighter.
As if a weight has been lifted.
Let yourself breathe more deeply,
More freely.
And begin now to breathe in all the qualities you need for this next chapter.
Breathe in patience.
Breathe in gentleness.
Breathe in clarity.
Breathe in trust.
Feel yourself filling with these energies.
Let them settle into every part of your being.
See yourself as strong.
See yourself as peaceful.
See yourself as joyful and calm.
And this is you letting go of the image of perfection.
You are not here to be flawless.
You are here to be real.
To grow.
To feel.
To try.
And to begin again.
The most courageous thing you can do is to be fully yourself.
Right here.
Right now.
So please take a moment to honour yourself.
For showing up.
For choosing stillness.
For choosing growth.
And let this affirmation echo in your heart.
I release the need to be perfect.
I release the need to be perfect.
I release the need to be perfect.
I trust in my journey.
I trust in my journey.
I trust in my journey.
I am becoming exactly who I am meant to be.
I am becoming exactly who I am meant to be.
I am becoming exactly who I am meant to be.
I am becoming exactly who I am meant to be.
And now bring a soft smile to your lips.
Begin to deepen your breath.
Feel the air moving in and out.
You notice your body.
Your heart.
Your presence.
And when you're ready,
Gently begin to bring movement back into your fingers and toes.
A little roll of your shoulders.
Maybe a stretch if it feels good.
And slowly and gently open your eyes.
Carry this peace with you.
Know that you can return to it anytime.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for being you.
