A Time Of New Beginnings
by Lee Anderson
Begin where you are. Simply breathing and concentrating on the breath so it slows and smooths and calms and relaxes the body and mind in preparation for meditation. I hope this meditation invites your internal space to open, so you can clean house, then immerse and align with your heart and soul. I hope you rediscover your own power, wisdom and magnificence. It is sometimes, in the quiet and still moments that answers may simply appear, so much easier than when we to go struggling to find them.

Hello and welcome to my guided meditation.
I'm so happy that you are here.
I'm just so excited that you've found your way here and chosen to be here.
I know how much effort it can take to actually put everything else aside and do something for yourself.
Sometimes you have to organize everybody else just so that you can have some quiet time to yourself to reconnect and reunite with yourself.
So thank you for choosing to participate in some self-care and self-love and this meditation with me.
So this meditation is inspired by energies that will reveal anything that we have been hiding from or blocking or anything maybe we've been holding on to and things are just no longer useful for us.
So it's a little bit about new beginnings.
We're going to tap into a few pioneering energies,
Being bold and independent and perhaps you know breathe in a bit of initiative and certainly find some new freedom.
So please let's begin by allowing yourself a comfortable seated position with your spine straight and extending upwards towards the sky.
You can have your legs crossed if you're sitting on a cushion or the floor or perhaps kneeling and drawing your hips back towards your heels.
You may like to sit on a chair with both feet flat on the floor beneath you or maybe even wish to lay down.
So please ensure your body is as symmetrical as possible for your energies to flow freely and entirely.
And you can let your hands settle onto your knees or loosely by your sides with your palms up in receptive position open to receiving guiding energies.
As you feel ready soften lower your gaze or just gradually let your eyelids fall heavy.
Give permission for your eyes to rest now and let all the muscles in your face relax and the skin soften and your awareness begins to retreat inward as you leave all the external distractions they just fade and fall away.
You are now being and without changing anything at all notice you are breathing.
Begin to feel your breath entering and leaving through your nose.
Your pace of breath remains natural so you don't have to think about it your mind can rest and simply pay attention.
Your spiritual eyes are looking inward watching your flowing breath.
See your breath gently dive down your throat and then swirl around your chest your heart space and maybe it swells all the way down into your belly before gently turning around and traveling up and out through your nose.
You always have permission to let out an audible sigh out the mouth it feels so good feel free to try it.
So without force without trying nothing you have to do allow your body to breathe all of its own accord and as you take in another breath taking as much air as you need.
Breathing slowly is the key preparation for relaxing and meditation.
You may have already noticed that simply drawing your attention to your natural breath tends to spontaneously slow down its pace.
And slow breathing is a bit like running a video in slow motion it lets you see things that may have escaped your attention when the action was viewed at normal speed.
And as you breathe out extend the length of your exhalation.
A longer out breath helps to streamline the breath then automatically smooths its texture.
This increases our opportunity to extract more oxygen and carbon dioxide and hence energy from each breath out of the body.
This empties the lungs of stale air and toxins it's purifying and helps us relax physically and mentally.
And begin to arouse a sense of breathing in the universal energies.
Perhaps visualize a pure white light of energy flowing in and filling your body as you pull inward devoted energies.
And as you breathe out you can imagine a smoky grey light leaving your body as it takes with it any toxins impurities or darkness.
So you can continue this meditation simply with your attention flowing following the felt sensations of the breath as it flows in and out of the body.
And at any time during this meditation if any sensations become uncomfortable or even unpleasant it's okay.
You can return your attention to your breathing and the calming sensation that this brings and then when you are ready you can venture back out into the meditation again.
And breathing with complete attention concentrating more and more on the rhythm of the breath.
Just continue to sense any vibrations from the flow of the breath from within your awareness.
And noticing the nourishment of the breath.
And for a few moments imagine the air is coming into your body through every pore of your skin as though you are breathing in with the whole body drawing nourishment into the whole body.
Sensing all impurities flowing out and vanishing into nothing.
Releasing tension and stress letting go of any thoughts that are still lingering or opposing releasing any emotions you are resisting or harbouring letting go any holding or blocking anything at all that's gotten stuck or even forgotten and no longer lives here let it go.
And I invite you now to begin to invoke a feeling of gratitude and thankfulness.
You can be grateful for all that you have in your life right now.
Experience gratitude as a feeling and not just an intellectual idea.
Be grateful for being real youthful and electric.
Be grateful for being ready and calm and having eagerness to fulfil your soul's destiny.
Be grateful for being patient and appreciating with others who share with us and help us on our life's journey.
What does gratitude feel like in your body?
So now is a time for new beginnings.
Gratitude is the key to moving forward and the key to new beginnings.
Every situation,
Every relationship,
Every challenge,
Every success and every failure has taught you something.
It has been valuable and useful and has made you who you are today.
Breathing in and feeling liberated.
Breathing out and being brave so you can follow your heart and intuition.
You can be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.
Somehow you know exactly what you truly want to become.
See yourself as progressive and accomplished.
See yourself as happy and free.
See yourself radiating with positive energy as you attract new people,
New ideas and situations into your life.
And see yourself joyful and content with this new reality.
Your breath enters and leaves your lungs so effortlessly you do not even notice it.
Gently bring a smile to your lips and slowly begin to deepen your breath.
And with your awareness focused on your heart centre,
Feel the warmth,
Love and harmony beating from within your heart,
Body,
Mind and soul.
Beating from within every cell.
And keeping the eyes lightly closed as we slowly begin to transition back.
Maybe you notice the sensations on the skin,
Your clothes or the air lightly touching your face,
Hands.
Maybe your arms and legs.
Perhaps you are beginning to notice the effects of gravity again and the weight of your body just resting supported by your chair or the floor.
And perhaps noticing extra sounds from just near where you are or far away.
And slowly remembering and inviting in the space around you.
Welcoming a longer breath in and offering an alleviating,
Enduring breath out.
Perhaps more movements in the fingers and if you are seated you might start to lean the body forwards and backwards a little or gently side to side just a little.
And if you are reclined and laying back perhaps invite a gentle sway or rock or a subtle stretch just moving a little bit at a time until you are ready to return to an upright position.
Just however feels best for you as you begin to transition back into your body and this space.
So as you feel ready please raise your hands to your heart centre.
Either resting your hands over your chest and heart or forming Anjali Mudra prayer position.
Whatever feels natural for you.
Notice the palms,
The touch.
There is a connection and an awareness of this moment.
There is balance and harmony in your own energetic space.
Please graciously accept and acknowledge your own beauty.
You are wonderful and magical.
You are an amazing creation of love in the body and mind.
And gently offering a bow in deep gratitude of peace,
Of love as our practice is complete.
Thank you so very kindly for meditating with me.
Many blessings.
