The Dream -Sufi Story-

This Sufi story introduces us to a character eager to show his greatness and a wise Sufi master who gives him a lesson as hard as unexpected. I want to think that this intervention stemmed from his noblest intentions.

A visitor came to a Sufi master. He wanted to demonstrate his own knowledge of the Quran and intended to overpower the guide in a debate. When he entered, The spiritual guide took the initiative, However, And mentioned the Prophet Yusuf and the dreams he has had according to the Quran. He then suddenly turned to his visitor and asked him if he could tell him about a dream, So that the visitor may give his interpretation thereof. After receiving permission, The Sufi told that he has had a dream where both of them were in it. The master then went on by describing the following on Ayrik episode. I saw your hand immersed in a jar of honey. While my hand was immersed in the latrine, The visitor hastened to interpret. It is crystal clear. You are immersed in wrong actions, Whereas I am leading a righteous life. Then the Sufi said, The dream didn't finish there. The visitor asked him to continue. The master went on. You were licking my hand, And I was licking yours.
