Welcome.
This meditation is specifically for you today if you are living in a body that's not behaving,
A body that is creaking and twinging and aching and calling out to you to see it,
Understand it,
Give it some attention.
It's so easy when we have busy lives and commitments to ignore the physical vessel that powers us to do all of these things until it starts screaming really loudly at us,
So loudly that we can't ignore it anymore.
So today I invite you to take a few moments just to breathe deeply and to go inside and explore what's going on,
Why your body is reaching out to you in these ways and trying to get your attention.
I invite you to take a deep breath,
The deepest you've done all day yet.
Hold the breath at the top of your lungs,
Exhale,
Take another deep breath.
Your mind's eye really,
Really focus on intentionally pushing that breath,
That oxygenated breath into the far off bits of your body that haven't had much attention recently from that oxygenated breath.
When we breathe deeply we're effectively getting a lot more oxygen into our blood and it helps with the the replenishment of those extremities.
I want you to really settle into your body in the spot where you're sitting or where you're lying,
Where you are,
That settled spot,
That place where you feel momentarily rested,
Momentarily seated and safe and at peace.
And just have a little wriggle,
Move around in that seat,
Just sway,
Let the energy pull you in whichever direction it needs to.
Where does your body want to go,
What's it saying to you?
We're going to start,
We're going to start in our sacrums and really feel the connection between our sacrums and our body.
So we're going to start in the sacral area and the place where we're seated or laying.
Invite you to draw the energy from all that beautiful oxygenated blood deep down into your core.
Invite it down right into your seat,
Into your lower belly,
Breathe deeply,
Keep moving if that's what your body feels called to do.
Send the breath deep down into your core and then just ask yourself where,
Where is that blood called to go,
Where,
Where is it needed?
Where does it want to roar to?
Which part of your beautiful physical vessel,
Space that you,
That your spirit,
That your,
Your heart,
That your soul calls home in this dimension,
Which part of that vessel does the blood want to roar to right now?
Do you have an achy foot?
Do you have a sore ankle?
Do you have tight calf muscles?
You have sore knees?
Are your hips hurting?
Maybe it's your lower back.
Maybe it's your belly.
Maybe it's your,
Ovaries if you're a,
If you're a lady and you're experiencing menstrual pain.
Maybe it's higher up in your belly.
Is it your digestive tract?
Is it your lungs?
Are they not filled with enough air?
Is it your heart?
Does your heart hurt?
Maybe you've got a broken heart.
That pain can be very,
Very real.
The pain of grief,
The pain of loss.
It can be very,
Very physical.
Maybe you've got a sore shoulder or two.
That's definitely been my achy calling in the last few weeks.
Keep moving,
Keep flowing,
Keep feeling all of these bits of your body.
Speaking to them,
Asking them,
How are you doing?
How can I support you?
What do you need?
What do you need from me?
Is it your arms?
How do your arms feel?
Your elbows?
Your wrists?
Your fingers?
I know sometimes that I get very twingy fingers.
I've got osteoarthritis that runs on the female side of my family and my knuckles can swell.
Speak to them,
Speak to the joints.
How are you today?
How can I serve you?
What can I do for you?
What do you need?
Then come back,
Come back up your arms.
Come back to your neck area,
Your throat.
How is your throat?
Sometimes my throat hurts.
It feels as though something's trapped there.
In the past when I've been unable to write it's been words that were trapped in my throat.
Sitting there,
Blocking.
Right now that area feels free for me.
I hope it does for you too.
But if it's stuck,
If it's blocked,
I invite you to ask it why.
How can you support it?
What needs to be done to release the blockage?
What needs to be done to open up that passageway,
That portal?
And then travel up your throat,
Into your nasal passage.
How is the back of your head,
The back of your nose,
The back of your eyes,
Your ears?
How do they feel?
Is there space?
Do they feel blocked?
They're free.
Free to be filled with beautiful inspiration.
Free to help you conjure up plans and excitement from that inspiration.
And how is your head?
How is that beautiful brain of yours?
That place where the magic happens,
Where the synapses snap and get rewired daily if we choose to.
Send the electricity there to rewire.
Send the spiritual electrician in.
Breathe deeply again.
How does your body feel?
How does your body feel now that you've given it some attention?
Some love?
Sometimes all anything just needs a little bit of love,
A little bit of attention,
A little bit of recognition,
A little bit of witnessing.
I see you,
I feel you,
I hear you,
I'm not ignoring you.
I will hear what you have to say.
I will take note.
I acknowledge you.
When your body is creaking and twinging and groaning and calling at you,
It's really important to acknowledge it and not ignore it.
I invite you to come back into your core,
Into your sacrum.
Just take a couple of moments to center again.
I invite you to remember that whenever your body is calling out to you that this meditation is here,
You can repeat it.
It's just your vessel,
Just your physical space saying,
Please acknowledge me,
Please give me some attention.
Your physical body asking your spiritual soul essence to see it,
Hear it,
Recognize it.
Take note and take action in some cases.
Prevent further decay to prevent further pain.
What do you need to do?
What do you need to do to support your body,
To support your integrated being?
Remember you can always come back to this space.
Your body keeps the score but your body knows the score and your body will speak to you.
And will tell you what it needs.
I'd like to draw this meditation to a close today with a prayer that is dear to me.
Dear God,
Where will you have me go?
What will you have me do?
What will you have me say?
And to whom?
Amen.
And so it is.
Amen.
