Hello and welcome to tonight's meditation.
The sky is dark,
The clouds are covering everything,
And there is a gentle rain.
In front of you is a small fire.
Small but mighty,
It's strong enough to keep burning even as the raindrops come down.
You can hear the gentle sizzle of the raindrops hitting each hot log,
And when the raindrop taps down,
Little sparks flicker up and out as the flame dances on.
It's just you,
The dark sky,
The bright fire,
And the rain.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Notice the flames flicker,
Breathing in and out.
The smoke starts to build,
Swirling,
Going up and up and up to the sky,
Disappearing into the night.
The rain starts to come down harder,
And you're safe under your shelter,
Dry and warm,
Just watching the fire.
You are safe here.
Allow yourself to be.
You are safe here.
Notice the very top of your head.
Relax your eyebrows.
Relax your ears,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your neck,
Your neck,
Your collarbones,
Your shoulders,
Your chest rises as you breathe in and out.
Feel it rise again as you breathe in.
Feel everything settle as you breathe out.
Feeling your belly relaxed,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet.
Feeling your hips and glutes grounded down the base of your spine,
Rooting down into the earth.
Feeling warmth growing deeper,
Down,
Down,
Breathing in.
Roots grow deeper,
Grounding down,
Breathing out.
Feel the warmth,
Breathing in.
Everything goes deeper,
Breathing out.
The rain is coming down harder.
Your fire starts to grow smaller and smaller,
With two small flames rallying on.
