Begin by adjusting your body so that your comfortable.
Close your eyes,
Feeling them come to rest.
Place your hands on your heart center in the middle of your chest.
Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.
Breathing in,
Feeling your heart expanding.
Breathing out,
Relaxing,
Connecting deeper inside.
Breathing in,
Receiving the warmth,
Tenderness,
Sensitivity of your heart.
Breathing out,
Letting go,
Resting inside.
Take a moment to think of something you feel grateful for,
A person or an activity that's important to you.
Something you value in your life.
As you think of what you're grateful for,
Allow the feeling of gratefulness to open your heart.
How does gratefulness feel?
You may feel warmth expanding in your chest,
An opening inside,
A receptivity,
A feeling of radiance,
Lightness,
Joy.
Perhaps you see a light or an image that's connected to this feeling of gratitude.
Taking deep gentle breaths,
Allowing the quality of gratefulness to spread through your whole body.
Feeling this deeply.
As your awareness turns inward,
Notice what are you grateful for about yourself,
A strength or talent that you have,
Something you give or do that's effortless.
Let your heart show you.
How does it feel when the light of gratitude is shining on you?
Are you seeing yourself in a new light?
Gratefulness reveals your inner beauty,
Enabling you to see strengths you may have taken for granted,
Qualities that make you who you are,
Or valuable experiences in your life.
With gratefulness you become more receptive,
Opening to receive all the gifts and treasures that life is giving you.
As the feeling of gratefulness continues to expand,
Notice what else are you grateful for?
Taking a few moments now,
Softly say to yourself,
I'm grateful for treasureing the gifts that are being given to you.
Perhaps a smile arises as you acknowledge what you're receiving.
Feel how gratefulness touches your heart.
Gratefulness is uplifting.
It makes you more alert,
Present to the moment.
Gratefulness is part of you,
A quality inside your heart that is always available to you.
