Closing your eyes.
Feeling them come to rest.
To connect with yourself,
Rest your hands on your heart center in the middle of your chest.
Your heart is a doorway into this moment.
Simply by feeling your heart,
You naturally release accumulated stress.
To experience this,
Take deep gentle breaths.
Breathing in,
Feeling the breath calming you.
Breathing out,
Letting go.
Feeling the breath like gentle waves in the ocean.
Soothing,
Relaxing you.
Carrying you deeper inside.
Breathing in,
Giving space to whatever you're feeling.
There may be waves of emotions.
Thoughts about your day.
In your heart,
You can allow whatever you're experiencing.
Your heart is like a guest house,
Welcoming whatever came to you today.
Instead of resisting what you feel,
Or the activity in your mind,
You can treat your emotions and thoughts like guests,
Inviting them in.
Feeling your heart,
Embracing whatever was disturbing you today.
There's nothing you need to do.
You can let everything be as it is.
Resting in this peaceful space as your heart is absorbing the disturbed energies.
Freeing you from stress so that you can sleep.
Perhaps you received something of value today,
A gift of learning,
Or a new experience that strengthened you in some way.
This can be revealed to you as you sleep.
Part of a story in your dreams,
Giving you new insights when you wake up.
Letting go into deep sleep.
