Hello there,
My name is Lew Redman.
Thank you so much for listening.
I have a group program that was supposed to begin recently.
However,
For the first time in two years,
I didn't have enough people signed up to make it work.
It's been said before that the entrepreneurial journey is one rejection after another.
What I don't hear discussed are the emotions that come with rejection,
Whether that be shame,
Fear,
Or the one I tend to feel most,
Disappointment.
I can admit my spiritual immaturity.
I wouldn't be disappointed if I weren't attached to the results.
Yet,
It's hard not to be attached to the things that we care about.
I admit,
I could have done more.
More emails,
More social media,
More all the things that you would do to promote something.
But there was something in me okay not pushing,
Not forcing.
Although my bank account may not agree,
Something felt right about it not happening.
I'm about to embark into a fatherhood initiation preparing for my first child and this gives me more space to really let that transformative process do its thing.
I welcome the unknown,
Even though I have no idea where it leads.
I watched an old clip of the famous poet David White recently where he posits this question,
How do you know that you're on your path?
And his answer is,
Because it disappears.
Not knowing what the future holds means you're doing something radical.
You're giving space for the beauty that wants to emerge rather than trying to grasp the illusion of control.
The dark unknown is where most people turn back.
It's where they quit.
It's where they stop.
Don't.
It's in the dark that new growth begins.
Trevor Hall has a famous album where he calls it the fruitful darkness.
It's during these times that we must have faith and trust that the path will reveal itself as we walk it.
So whether you are in the unknown or not,
My message to you my friend is to keep walking.
Relish in the aliveness of uncertainty.
It is a sacred portal.
Thank you so much for listening.
Know that I am rooting for you on your journey,
Whether it's entrepreneurial or not.
We all have to face disappointment and rejection in some ways and we all have to find ways to keep the hope alive in our life.
So know that I'm rooting for you as you do that in your life.
If this message resonated with you and you're feeling like you could use some hope and some spark to stay the path,
I'd love to invite you to my course,
Unshakable Peace,
22 Mantras of Hope.
It is one of my most powerful things that I've ever created and I think you're going to find a lot of guidance,
Remembrance,
And trust if you embark on that journey.
So I hope to maybe see you there.
Thanks again for listening and we'll chat soon.
