Grounding exercise.
Stand firmly with your feet flat on the floor,
Shoulder width apart,
Knees slightly bent.
Close your eyes and relax.
Take a deep breath and be aware of your feet on the floor and your legs holding you up.
Become even more aware of your feet.
Imagine that your feet are sinking through the floor into the earth below.
Plant your feet in the earth.
Imagine that you are a tree growing roots down into the earth from your feet.
Let the roots sink deep into the earth,
Going through the layers of the soil and the rock and the water and the sand.
Going down,
Down,
Down into the earth,
Through all of the layers,
All the way down until you reach the hot,
Vibrant,
Molten center of the earth.
Once your roots reach the center of the earth,
Imagine that you can anchor yourself through the roots to the center of the earth.
You are connected to the center of the earth,
But you are also flexible.
Your roots are so flexible that they allow you to move freely,
But at the same time,
They keep you connected to the earth.
Now feel the positive earth energy going up the roots,
Up the roots and entering your feet,
Going up your legs,
Entering your stomach,
Your chest area,
Filling up your head and your arms.
You are now connected to the earth energy.
You are grounded.
If you like,
You may reconnect to the ground every 45 to 60 seconds.
When you are ready,
Bring yourself up to here and now,
Take a deep breath and open your eyes.
