Thank you so much for tuning in to another guided meditation,
For taking the time to get centered,
To be still,
And to connect with who you really are.
Not the thoughts buzzing around in your mind,
But the space in between those thoughts.
And that's really what we're doing today.
We're getting quiet,
We're getting still,
So that you can remember your true essence,
Your true power from within.
You can do this meditation lying flat on your back in bed or on your yoga mat,
Or you can sit in a chair with your feet firmly planted on the ground or on a meditation cushion.
The point is to be relaxed but alert.
Get settled in whatever position you've chosen today.
Let's take a deep breath in together to connect to our body.
Deep breath in,
Hold,
And let it go.
Hold.
Deep breath in,
Hold.
Release.
Hold.
Deep breath in.
Hold.
Release.
Hold.
Last one together,
Deep breath in.
Hold.
Release.
Hold.
Return to a gentle,
Rhythmic breathing.
Today you might be noticing your shoulders relaxing,
Your hips relaxing,
Your breathing slowing,
Your mind slowing.
Just that breathing was enough to transform your body and your mind.
Seconds is all it took.
So many people feel like they can't control their minds,
Especially at night when the thoughts come racing to the forefront.
Anxiety and worry,
Stress,
They can't sleep.
If they did what you just did,
They would have a beautiful night's sleep and experience a completely different day the next day.
Were you doing this,
You already know that truth.
I'm simply guiding you,
But you know if this is the first time that you've ever meditated,
You might just be experiencing it.
But for most of us,
We felt this deep,
Serene calm inside before,
Which is what keeps us coming back.
So I want you to place your attention now on the top of your head and bringing it all the way down to the tips of your toes,
Inch by inch.
And it goes down with the force of gravity slowly,
Allowing your breath to guide the awareness slower than you would like so that you can truly feel every inch of your body.
And there might be parts of your body that you don't feel.
Maybe it's around your heart,
If you feel guarded.
Maybe it's in your hips.
If you feel tense,
Shut down.
Work on releasing any tension,
Any holding on,
Any false protection.
Understand,
When you do,
You move more fully into your power.
It's true you might be hurt if you open your heart,
But the joy and the bliss that you will no doubt experience when you do makes it worth it,
Makes the risk not so scary.
Keep inching down,
Keep releasing,
Let go of any weight that you might be holding onto.
Realize the past is in the past,
And it's only when you bring your thoughts to the past and believe them that you bring them into reality.
So if you are done scanning your body now,
I want you to place your attention on your left hand as it's resting on your left knee.
And that is the past.
Now I want you to place your attention on your right hand,
Sitting on your right knee,
And that represents the future.
The space in between is what's happening right now.
The space in between is the present.
Realize that that is your reality.
That is where you can make a change.
That is where all of your power lies,
Right now.
Send love to your left hand,
The past.
Be optimistic and always looking forward to the future,
Your right hand.
But your power,
Your calm,
The decisions you make that will affect your future in incredible ways resides with you right now.
And what you focus on,
How you react to things,
What you let sway your focus and your attention is,
Luckily for all of us,
Completely within our control.
You just have to realize that truth.
So keep breathing and try,
I know it's hard,
To keep your attention in the space in between your left hand and your right hand.
If you find your mind wandering,
Which it will,
Just bring it back to that space.
Notice where your mind wanders the most.
Is it to your left hand,
The past?
Is it to your right hand,
The future?
Come to know yourself.
Know your mind so that you can change it in whichever way you want.
Use the next minute to watch yourself,
To know yourself,
To love yourself.
And when it's time,
I'll bring you back.
So,
Maybe you will need to argue.
You You You You come back now into your body take a deep breath in with me And let it all go You Breathe normally Do some gentle neck rolls some shoulder rolls Rotate your wrists one way releasing the past Rotate your wrists the other way Letting the future that you desire come to you You can open your eyes Drink some water Nourish your cells detoxify If you have time do some gentle stretching Maybe some push-ups See what you can do.
