You're listening to the Motherhood to Unstress podcast,
And I'm your host,
Liz Carlisle.
Thank you for taking the time for yourself today to dive deep,
To fully see and know who you are,
And to love yourself in spite of all past mistakes.
This guided meditation for self-forgiveness and letting go of those past mistakes is intended to help you do just that.
Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can relax and allow yourself to fully engage in this healing journey.
Let's take a deep breath in together.
And as you exhale,
Release all tension or negative thoughts from your body.
Let's take another deep breath in.
And out.
One more deep breath in.
And release negativity and tension out.
In this meditation,
We're going to be drawing upon the wisdom of the Bible,
Which I've found to be such a source of positivity to help guide us towards self-forgiveness and acceptance.
Remember that you are perfect,
Whole,
And complete,
And that you deserve a beautiful life.
So let's begin.
Close your eyes and imagine a warm,
Gentle light surrounding you,
Embracing you with love and compassion.
This light within you and around you represents the divine presence within you.
Tune in to the gentle rhythm of your breath,
And with every exhalation,
Feel yourself relaxing even further and imagining the light growing stronger in and around you.
As we embark on this journey of self-forgiveness,
Let's reflect on the words of Romans 8.
1.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
This verse reminds us that we are free from condemnation and that forgiveness is always available to us.
Bring to mind a past mistake or a burden that's weighing heavily on your heart.
Allow yourself to acknowledge the pain and the regret associated with it.
Breathe in deeply,
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing that burden from your shoulders,
Freeing yourself from its weight.
Imagine the burden going out through the floor,
Past the foundation,
Into the earth,
Away,
As you lift up higher in your positive light.
Remember the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15,
20-24.
Just as the father in the parable welcomed his wayward son with open arms,
Embrace yourself with love and acceptance.
Recognize that you are worthy of forgiveness and redemption.
If you only ask,
And believe that you're deserving of it.
Keep breathing,
And you can repeat these affirmations silently or out loud after me.
I am worthy of forgiveness.
I am deserving of love and compassion.
I am deserving of love and compassion.
I release myself from the chains of guilt and self-condemnation.
I am perfect,
Whole,
And complete,
Just as I am.
Take a moment to let these affirmations sink into your being,
Into your subconscious.
Allow them to penetrate deep into your soul,
And heal any wounds caused by self-judgment,
Or the judgment or words of others.
Feel a tingling in your palms,
Your fingertips,
Your feet,
As every cell in your body becomes more aware of a shift in your energy,
Away from negativity and towards light.
As we continue this journey,
Let us draw inspiration from the words of Isaiah 118.
Come now,
Let us settle this matter.
Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow.
Visualize yourself standing in a field of pure,
Glistening snow,
Representing the cleansing power of forgiveness.
Feel the snow melting beneath your feet.
Feel your tears fall.
Feel your cheeks grow cold and alive with the cool air.
Look around you in the pure,
Blissfully white landscape.
Know that you are,
Like the white snow,
Pure and innocent,
And that you're letting go of anything that doesn't serve you anymore.
It's done.
See the mistakes of your past melting away,
Dissolving into the pure whiteness of the snow.
Allow yourself in this moment to be cleansed and renewed,
Embracing the freedom that comes with self-forgiveness.
In this moment,
Take a deep breath in,
And exhale slowly,
Letting go of any remaining feelings of guilt or self-condemnation.
You are forgiven.
You can forgive yourself.
Embrace the truth that you are a beautiful creation,
Worthy of love and happiness.
Believe in your ability to learn and grow from your past experiences.
Your mistakes do not define you.
They are merely stepping stones on your journey to becoming the best version of yourself.
As we conclude this meditation,
Gently bring your awareness back to the present moment.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes,
Feeling the energy flowing through your body,
This new lightness that you just created.
Know that you have embarked on a path of self-forgiveness,
And that it will lead you to a new,
Brighter future.
Know that you have embarked on a path of self-forgiveness,
And that it will lead you to a life of joy,
Peace,
And self-acceptance.
This is true empowerment.
Remember that you are perfect,
Whole,
And complete,
Just as you are.
And that if you ever have thoughts that creep in and try to bring down your joy,
You can always come back to the snowy landscape,
And let those thoughts of negativity,
Self-harm,
Self-condemnation melt away,
Because they are not you.
Thank you for taking the time to come home to yourself,
To do the work.
You're not alone in this.
We all just did this together.
And we're united in that all over the world.
So thank you.
Thank you for raising the vibration across this world.
Until next time,
Namaste.
