Let's reset together.
Getting comfortable in the position you've chosen,
Close down the eyes or you might like to leave them open,
Just adopting a soft and gentle gaze.
Now in the mind's eye,
Reflect on everything that's happened today to get you to this moment in time.
The food you've eaten,
The journey to work,
The conversations you've already had.
Spend a moment doing this now.
Now gently,
We can allow everything that's happened up until this moment to slip away.
You might even like to take a gentle exhalation,
Physically letting go of everything that's come before now.
And we can bring our attention into this present moment,
Into this feeling of the body sitting or standing here,
Into the way the breath moves effortlessly within the body.
We may notice other sensations in the body,
The way the air gently brushes the face and hands or the feeling of the clothes against the skin.
Pretty soon,
It's likely we'll notice the mind chattering,
Perhaps providing a commentary of our experience.
That's okay.
Remember,
This is simply what the mind does.
There's no need to fight this.
We can just notice it and let it be and bring the attention back to feeling and sensing the experience of simply being here.
Take a moment now to recall the room we're in,
Who we're sitting next to,
And perhaps the purpose for our being together.
You can allow the eyes to gently open now if they were closed,
And let's gather our attention towards the task at hand.
