Welcome to your Live Mindfully meditation,

Uncovering Our Truth.

In this practice,

We will support ourselves to bring more clarity to our internal compass,

To our internal space of knowing and wisdom so we can tune into the whisper of our heart.

I'll invite you now to get into a comfortable position,

Either sitting in a chair or in a cushion on the floor.

We can allow the back to become straight but not rigid and perhaps moving slightly away from any back support you may have.

You might like to tuck the chin slightly to lengthen the back of the neck and you could allow the shoulders to soften down.

Place your hands wherever they feel most comfortable,

Either on your lap or on your knees.

If you feel comfortable with it,

You might like to now softly close down the eyes or simply allow your gaze to rest unfocused on a spot in front of you.

Take a moment now to anchor the attention with the breath.

Just this breath.

Each time you notice the mind wandering onto plans or worries or other issues,

Bring curiosity and kindness to this process and gently bring the attention back to focusing on the breath.

I invite you now to let go of any need to change or fix anything.

Remembering that meditation is not about wanting to get anywhere or be anything other than where and who we already are.

The breath can support us to become quiet for long enough so we can actually connect with our authentic self,

With our internal compass and we can simply listen to the whisper.

Coming back to the breath.

Coming back to this moment.

As the breath is the anchor for the conscious attention,

We rest behind or beyond the breath,

Allowing this breath to become the tool to support us to uncover what has always been there,

That place of clarity,

Calm and connection.

From this place,

We can watch,

We can watch the breath,

We can watch the thoughts,

We can become the observer.

Allowing the breath to support us to connect with our true self,

Our stable self,

Our bigger,

Deeper and wiser self.

This part of us has always been there.

We're not creating anything new.

We're simply allowing the true self to be seen.

So let's start by bringing in our mindset of beginner's mind to this practice.

Let's get really curious about who we are and what lights us up.

To do this,

We could ask ourselves some questions.

This will support us to hear the whisper of our wise self.

During this practice,

If we hear or sense or feel nothing,

That's completely okay.

We just sit with it.

We breathe with it.

We stay open and awake and curious.

And so we inquire,

How do I want to feel during my days?

What kind of person do I wish to be?

Deep down,

What is the most important thing?

It is through uncovering and accessing our priorities and our values in life that we can connect to our internal compass,

The deeper and more authentic part of ourselves.

This part of us is separate from our thoughts,

Our opinions,

Emotions,

And judgments.

This part has always been there.

Once we access it,

We can live our lives with more authenticity and harmony.

So as this formal practice comes to an end,

I'll invite you to sense once again back into the body,

Allowing the attention to rest at the top of the head and then trickle down over the whole body like warm water until your attention is resting once again with the feet on the floor.

In a moment,

You'll hear the sound of the bell to complete the practice.

I'll invite you to keep your eyes closed until you can no longer hear the ringing.

And then you can slowly open your eyes and transition consciously back into your day where you can choose to live mindfully.
