Welcome to this simple practice to quiet the conditioned mind and connect with your wise,

Loving inner voice.

As far as I can remember,

I experienced living with an overly active and critical mind.

My overthinking used to cause,

And sometimes still does,

Daily challenges.

Like unending research loops,

Getting caught up in perfectionism,

And feeling like I always needed to do more or be more to be worthy and enough.

This way of thinking disconnected me from my truth,

My uniqueness,

And from expressing my creativity.

And it blocked my connection to my heart.

As I learned and implemented this simple process I'm sharing with you to quiet the conditioned mind,

I allowed my loving and wise inner voice to be heard.

I am hoping this calming practice for your mind will help you experience the magic of your own inner voice connection.

To begin,

Let's get as cozy as possible.

You can lie down or sit up,

Whatever feels best to you.

Start to become aware of the room you are in.

Maybe take a look around and silently say to yourself,

I am safe and secure as you gently close your eyes.

Or you can look down if it's more comfortable.

Notice your next breath and silently say,

On your in breath,

I am breathing in.

And for the out breath,

I am exhaling out.

I am breathing in.

I am exhaling out.

If possible,

Sense into your feet.

Are they touching the ground?

If not,

What are they touching?

Sense the familiar pull of gravity on your sits bones or your hips.

The soft feeling of air on your face and skin.

Continue silently repeating,

I am breathing in.

I am exhaling out.

Become aware of your feet.

Maybe tense them up a little bit and relax them.

Your calves.

Tense up and relax.

Continuing to breathe in.

I am breathing in.

I am exhaling out.

Move up to your upper legs,

Your thighs,

Your hips.

Do you feel any tension there?

If you do,

Just relax.

Tense up and let it relax.

Moving up to your torso.

Your solar plexus.

The area just above your belly button.

This is a place a lot of people carry tension.

Your lower belly.

This whole lower part of your torso.

If you feel any tension,

Just kind of squeeze and release.

Allowing yourself to relax even further.

Moving up to your upper torso.

Your chest.

Feeling if you feel any tension.

If your heart has any heaviness.

Allow it to be felt.

Allow it to release.

If you experience any recurring mind thoughts or if you lose the mantra,

That's okay.

Just notice when you have.

Allow yourself to come back with ease.

Just shifting back to the mantra with no judgment.

I am breathing in.

I am exhaling out.

Maybe move your shoulders around a little bit,

Allowing them to relax.

Your neck.

Roll it out a little bit.

Your jaw.

Let that relax.

Your face.

Even your eyes,

Your eyebrows,

Your forehead,

Your scalp.

Just letting yourself melt with relaxation while you are continuing the mantra.

When we hold a conditioned mind thought,

We are also often holding our breath.

So to go beyond the mind,

We simply need to stop holding our breath.

Notice your next breath.

And as you breathe in,

Silently say to yourself,

I am breathing in.

And on the exhale,

I am exhaling out.

In just a moment,

I'll invite you to listen for your inner voice.

While I ask a question and then allow space to continue breathing,

Exhaling and listening.

I'll ask the question and then you'll exhale and listen.

If you hear only fear-based thoughts or critical mind thoughts,

That is only your mind trying to get involved.

So your only job is to remember to exhale and listen again.

You'll know you're hearing your inner voice because it's always pure and unconditional love.

And it's non-judgmental.

It feels good.

You may place your hand on your heart to connect even further inward and continue your mantra.

I am breathing in.

I am exhaling out.

Ask your question and then listen.

Inner voice,

What would you like me to know?

Breathing in.

Exhaling out.

Continue to breathe in and exhale and listen.

Inner voice,

What would you like me to know?

Exhale and listen.

Now gently,

Whenever you feel ready,

Begin to call your awareness back into the room by taking a couple nourishing breaths.

And when it feels right to come back,

Begin wiggling your fingers and toes.

And whenever you are ready,

You can flutter your eyes open.

Welcome back.

I hope you will bring these inner voice connection steps with you into your day to help you hear your inner voice guidance more clearly.

Simply connect to your breath,

Ask your inner voice a question,

Exhale and listen.
