Today's guided meditation will help you resolve childhood trauma.
It can be useful to follow this meditation with some journaling,
But it is not necessary.
Find a quiet spot where you won't be disturbed and make yourself comfortable.
Let's first relax our minds by taking a deep breath in through your nose and out with a sigh through your mouth.
Empty your lungs fully.
Another deep breath through your nose and out through your mouth.
Last deep breath in and out.
You are walking on a path in a forest.
The path is long and straight.
The sun is soft and filtered through the tree.
You feel calm and grounded by the woods around you.
Even though you know you've never walked here before,
The path feels familiar.
You know instinctively that this is a safe place.
You see a structure rising up at the end of the path.
As you slowly approach it,
You realize it's your childhood home.
Take a deep breath and realize you are safe.
You approach the home and when you open the door,
You step into your childhood bedroom.
Take a moment and look around you.
Everything is there.
Your bed,
Toys,
Closet.
Everything is there,
Untouched by time.
In one of the corners of the room,
You see a child,
And as you approach,
You realize it's you.
You kneel down as the child looks at you.
They've been waiting for you to visit.
They step forward and wrap their arms around you.
You wrap your arms around them and hold them tight.
Take a moment to embrace how far you've come from being that little kid to you now.
How much you've learned and grown as a person.
You know so much right now.
You sit down next to each other.
This is your moment to talk to them.
What is it you most want them to know?
Are you proud of this child sitting in front of you?
Do you maybe wish to thank them for something?
It is time to leave now.
Say your goodbyes.
You get up and walk to the bedroom door.
You feel good opening the door and when you turn to close the door,
You look back at the child.
They are happy.
They feel loved and safe now.
Close the door and walk back on the path in the room.
You take a deep breath and breathe in the fresh,
Fresh air.
Your heart feels warm and you made this child feel so good.
As you keep walking along the path,
Your heart becomes lighter and lighter.
You start to become more aware of your surroundings.
You reach the end of the path.
Gently open your eyes.
