In this 20-minute practice, we gently settle your nervous system while we call forth Love. At times, “Love” is used interchangeably with “God”. When you hear these words, substitute the word of your choice – whatever word you feel comfortable to reference that which is greater than your small self.

And then we'll call forth your bodies,

Your physical form here more consciously.

So noticing your bones,

Your bones meeting muscle and flesh,

Meeting chair or couch or floor or space.

And letting your attention connect to that simple but present connection of the bones of your body sitting,

Of your bodies being held by form,

The form of chair,

The form of whatever you are connecting with.

Letting your bones,

Your muscles,

Your flesh,

Your cells know that they are being held in a very tangible way.

In this moment,

We can connect to that tangibility.

We can feel the space behind us or under us that is unwavering in this moment.

And while the body moves,

And it is,

The mattress,

The cushion,

The chair,

The floor is staying coarse.

It's coarse of steadfast holding.

And we call forth our nervous systems to receive that,

To know that steadfastness in factuality here and concreteness.

Just noticing where you feel that solidity the most for your system.

It could be anywhere head to toes.

It may be very noticeable or overt for most of us in our sit bones in that solid,

Factual,

Concrete kind of way.

As we notice the breath move our beings,

The sit bones stay pretty rooted.

So we feel both the solidity and movement coexisting.

And so again we call forth the nervous system to know that there may be movement and stillness together.

And while you're noticing the lower part of the body and its stillness,

Invite attention to notice the movement of the upper body,

Particularly with the breath.

And in this moment,

Not really connecting to the quality of the breath,

Just the noticing of the breath's existence,

The happening of the breath that fills the body,

That lifts the body,

And then that releases out of the body.

And we feel that movement,

The lifting up and the releasing back down to the field of gravity,

Back down to our chairs,

Our cushions,

And then back up.

Start following that cycle in your own time.

There's no right or wrong way to breathe right now.

There is the invitation to notice breathing and to notice whatever you do notice as the breath has its way with you.

To notice where breath is in its cycle and to notice the sacred pauses that mysteriously show up through the cycle.

And so I invite you to stay with this movement and stillness,

This witnessing and this participation,

Engagement as we call forth God,

As we call forth love.

There's nothing to do here but receive what you are already doing.

See you soon.

We call forth God.

We call forth love.

Noticing how your system is drinking that in just exactly as it is for you.

Noticing how your system is drinking that in just exactly as it is for you.

Noticing how your system is drinking that in just exactly as it is for you.

And we keep drinking that in.

We keep breathing that in.

Calling forth God in me.

God in you.

Love in me.

Love in you.

Love in you.

Continuing to breathe God in me.

Love in me.

Nothing to do.

What is already here.

Nothing to do.

Nothing to do.

Nothing to do.

Nothing to do.

Nothing to do.

And now we call forth God and call forth love in us and all others.

Calling forth God.

Calling forth love in us and all others.

And now we call forth God.

And now we call forth love in us and all others.

And now we call forth love in us and all others.

Just noticing your breath connecting this through your system and however else it is.

Bringing your conscious cognitive attention to this that we call God,

We call love in this moment.

And in our last moments,

Letting your attention connect to what it wants to connect to more deeply here.

What your system wants to remember.

And let that remembering be honored.
