About staying grounded during unsteadiness.

Find a comfortable position seated or lying down.

Allow your body to settle.

There's nothing you need to do right now.

Nowhere you need to be.

Just you,

Your breath and your body.

Begin by noticing your breath.

It's flowing in and out of the nose.

Take a slow breath in.

Allow the belly to gently expand.

And a slow breath out letting the body soften.

As your body settles just take a moment to notice.

Is there anywhere in your body that feels tight or restricted?

Anywhere that feels bound like it's holding on unnecessarily?

And as you breathe gently I invite you to send your breath into any restricted spaces.

Allow the breath to expand and soften.

There is nothing you need to hold on to.

As you follow your breath bring your attention into the body.

Notice any embodied reactions as you rest here.

This might be arising sensations in the body or simply the sensation of your body on the ground.

Maybe emotions are present or thoughts.

And simply witness as a compassionate observer there's no need to change anything.

Continue to breathe gently and softly.

And from awareness growth naturally comes.

When we become embodied,

So being in our body and observing,

We may notice familiar or default patterns.

Perhaps you always hold tension in the same space in your body.

Or default thought patterns that ricochet or bounce or recoil.

And if the mind feels stuck or clings to a feeling or thought that's okay.

It is normal to cling to what is familiar.

There's no need to interrupt or judge these thoughts.

I invite you to notice their rhythm,

Their movement without trying to pin them down.

And you may notice that sensations and emotions and thoughts tend to shift and move.

So gently remind yourself you have the power to help these shifts happen.

So if the mind begins to drift softly guide it back to the breath.

If you notice tension creeping back into your body,

Hold yourself gently.

Breathe into that space and breathe out and soften.

Allow the experience to unfold without forcing or rushing or needing it to be different.

As you breathe in,

Imagine nourishment entering your body in the form of clarity and warmth and steadiness.

Feel these aspects flowing into you.

And as you breathe out imagine setting any worries aside,

Letting go of what is unfounded.

And on the days you feel unsteady come back into your body.

Your feet on the ground,

The sensation of your breath and the softening of any tension.

As you breathe in,

Absorbing this nourishment.

As you breathe out,

Putting your roots down,

Allowing yourself to feel grounded in the here and now.

With each breath allow any residual tension to loosen.

Witness it,

Accept it,

Let it dissolve.

Perhaps notice your inner dialogue.

If an inner critic appears,

Meet it with humility and kindness.

Reminding yourself that life is not about perfection.

And when you align with your values and what you intuitively know to be right,

It can embody meaning and purpose.

Allow growth to arise through exploration and curiosity in your instinctual nature and your body's wisdom.

What messages is your body sending?

You can sense this in the way you breathe,

The way you interact,

Your posture,

How you hold yourself.

And becoming aware of where your body holds emotional tension.

As you connect more deeply to your body,

To your internal world,

Allow this sense of meaning and steady belief in yourself to crystallize.

Clear,

Steady and bright.

Quietly turning down the volume of unhelpful thoughts,

Asking yourself.

Do I know this to be the absolute truth?

I invite you to hold yourself gently with compassion.

And take a few moments of silence and stillness here.

When you're ready,

Begin to bring awareness back to the space that you're in.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Notice sounds around you.

And carry this grounded presence with you.

Rooted,

Flexible and open to growth.

Trust in your body's wisdom.

Trust in your intuition.

And hold yourself gently.

And when it feels right,

Gently open your eyes.

And I hope you join me again soon.
