A poem celebrating the lovely image of rainbows that for some still find uplifting making one also feel very grounded and small in a physical way. Linking also the realisation of the seven rainbow colours connect to our seven chakras colours too, so as an adult brings a new loving connection to spontaneous rainbows that were loved as a child.

Rainbows,

Living in the moment,

Is something I do when rainbows appear.

But it's carved in gold by the gods of the seven holy colours,

Shall marry when rain and sun is full.

So I witness this sight,

For it's one heck of a show of brilliant coloured lights.

They master the sky,

Without touching anything.

I stay by its side,

Taking it all in,

Eyes transfixed in this moment.

I know you will fade,

So in my arms I embrace,

And put you with all my other rainbow days.

I cling to each colour,

As if my finger touches each one and ticks them off.

A backdrop of blues showing them off.

So precise,

The seven colours,

Streaming,

Arching,

Dipping over planet earth.

For the sky is limitless like the universe.

And below you and I,

The physical of land and of home.

I compare the world at this precise moment,

The physical of work and my journey through life.

As an adult,

Aware of my own energy field,

That lifts to that high vibrational flow.

For you and I,

Hoed the seven rainbows,

Energy colours within,

Thus the seven chakras precise colours the very same.

Now they do come in twos,

For a second is bigger than her.

Yet faded she is,

Like my aura unseen to the naked eye.

So look close,

For there are two rainbows in the sky.

For that down par of rain,

Often unwanted and invited,

But blasted with sun.

Telling me it's good to shine on rainy days and be simply be surprised how creative we are.

With knowledge I've gained of the rainbow colours,

I can simply tell you this.

Red is life.

Orange is order.

Yellow is wisdom.

Green is love.

Blue is power.

Purple imagination.

These colours,

These gifts that sum up life.

Like the innocence of your inner child lost in sky rainbows,

With songs,

Tales and pots of gold,

Making wishes and bluebirds fly.

And it's rain not tears,

And sun the solution to get us through.

Living in the moment when rainbows appear,

Is something I do.
