Hello and welcome.
I'm Linda Hall.
Today I'd like to do a meditation on allowing those you love their own journey.
So take a few moments to get comfortable.
Uncrossing your arms and your legs.
And when you're ready.
Allow your eyes to close.
As you do so,
Come down into your body's weight and volume.
And the movements your body makes as you breathe.
Allow your breath to begin to slow down and lengthen.
And it's on time.
As you do so.
Notice the contact your body is making with the surface directly beneath you.
Give more of your weight to its support.
And breathe out down the full length of your body.
Allowing your body to soften.
And release what it's brought with it here.
And no longer needs to carry.
Let it flow out and away.
As you do so.
Notice the surface directly beneath you is steady.
Notice the steadiness is there for you now.
And give more of your weight to its support.
As you let that happen.
Notice the ground meeting your body's weight.
Through the steadiness.
Steady.
Solid ground.
There with you now.
And breathe the steady,
Solid energy of the ground up into you.
Slowly up into your body.
Right up to your line.
Let it steady you.
Stay with your connection to ground for a while.
And on your out breath,
Release down directly into the ground through your body.
Yet more of what it's been holding.
And no longer needs to.
Let it flow down into the ground.
It's just energy to be recycled.
Flowing out of you.
And away.
In your own time and when you are ready.
Notice the sensation of air entering your nostrils and leaving.
Notice the air is cool as it enters.
Warm as it lives.
Noticing the touch of the air on your face and body.
And that you're breathing in from the space around you.
And out into it.
In this moment here.
Begin to notice the movements your body makes as you breathe.
The expansion of the in-breath.
The release of the air.
Without judging how you're breathing,
Just notice from a soft sitting back place in your mind.
Notice the opening outwards and moving upwards.
Of the inbred.
As your shoulders,
Chest and thorax open to receive nourishment.
If it's felt like you haven't had an opportunity to receive nourishment for its own sake of life.
You can go ahead and do that now.
As you breathe in.
Savor the length.
Emperor of the Emperor.
Really allow yourself to receive nourishment.
In your own time.
Notice the softening,
Letting go motion of the out breath.
Notice how the whole of your upper body follows through with this softening,
Letting go motion as the breath flows out.
If it's felt like.
You haven't had an opportunity or allowed yourself to breathe out fully of light.
You can let that happen now.
Helping your body to release yet more.
As you do so,
Notice how the out-breath is the body's natural relax.
If it feels like you're a little closer to everything.
Sit back from everything.
And let everything sit back from you.
Letting the steadiness beneath you support you some more.
And notice from that soft sitting back place.
The play of light and shade through your closed eyelids.
Right round your peripheral vision.
Let it be so.
Let everything be there.
As you do so.
Sense gently outward.
To either side of you.
To the horizon spreading way out into the distance.
And pure.
High to the sky above.
Horizon spreading all the way around you.
Notice the spaciousness.
You have all of this space.
For you.
And his small mutt if it's felt like.
There hasn't been much space,
Either around you or within you,
Of lay.
You can breathe from the farthest horizons if you wish.
And breathe the spaciousness into you.
When we're carrying other people's stuff.
It can take up all the space inside us.
Sometimes.
We need to step back a little from those we love and care about.
And allow them their own journey.
Give them the space they need.
To do that journey for themselves.
And trust.
That they have.
All the resources they need within them.
To make that journey.
Just as you have all the resources within you.
To do your own journey.
Sometimes.
The most useful thing we can do.
Is to maintain our own center.
And to be steady.
For them.
Allow them the space.
To learn and grow.
To recognize that.
The responsibility is not yours.
To carry.
Hello.
Trust that they have.
Within themselves what it takes.
To that.
So if you've been carrying.
Someone else's.
Concern,
Troubles.
Situation.
Worries.
Step back.
Draw your own lifeblood energies back home to your center.
And imagine surrounding.
That person.
With love.
With lie.
With the energy that you believe in them.
And leaving that loving energy and beautiful light.
In place around.
The one you care for.
See the affirmation.
I let go of everything that isn't mine to carry.
Let it flow out of you and away.
As you do so.
Allow your attitude towards yourself to become kinder.
Warmer.
Let loving kindness in around you.
All the way around you.
And appreciate yourself.
For all.
Your good will.
Your hard work.
For all that you've given.
I know that all of this.
Is already.
On its way.
To helping the growth.
And learning.
Of the one that you care for.
All that you've put in place.
Already.
Is not wasted.
Thank you,
Sir.
For being you.
For caring.
For having done your best.
And allow any other words of reassurance of your own to come.
In your own time and when you are ready.
Come back to the sensation of air entering your nostrils and leaving.
And the movements your body makes as you breathe.
Notice the contact your body is making with the surface directly beneath you.
Notice the steadiness of ground.
Still there.
Leading your body's way.
And breathe the steadiness of ground up into you once again.
Slowly.
Right up into your mind.
Let it get steady.
Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
The air touching your face and body.
Notice you're here in this moment.
And in your own way,
Your own time,
You can draw this meditation to a close.
I hope you've enjoyed this meditation and found it helpful.
Go well.
