Sense down into your body's weight and volume.
Become aware of the ebb and flow of your breath.
The sensation as air enters and leaves.
The movements your body makes as you breathe.
Notice the weight of your body being supported by the surface directly beneath it.
Breathe out down the full length of your body.
Allowing it to release what it's brought with it here and no longer needs to carry.
And allow yourself to imagine you are standing or sitting whichever feels right with your back against a tall,
Sturdy tree.
As you do so,
Feel the power of its wide trunk.
Sense its roots anchored deep in the ground.
Breathe the power of its wide trunk and deep roots into you.
Sense the tree's strong branches reaching upwards and outwards to sky.
Its glorious canopy of leaves above you.
Breathe the strength of its branches and the beauty of its glorious canopy into you.
Allow yourself to become one with the tree.
And become the tree.
Feel the power of your trunk.
Tall.
Strong.
The depth of your roots anchored deep in the ground.
Enjoy your glorious canopy of branches and leaves.
In your own time,
Slowly come back to the here and now around you.
Becoming aware of the sensation as air enters your nostrils and leaves.
Notice the movements your body makes as you breathe.
Notice the energy of your tree still there within you now.
Strong.
Powerful.
Glorious.
