Reconnect to peace.

To begin,

Take a couple of deep breaths,

Slow and steady,

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Peace is important not just for our world as a whole,

But for our own nervous systems.

Being able to cultivate a peaceful practice allows us to feel calm,

Reset,

And available for whatever the day brings to us.

There are many ways we can access this.

There are meditations,

Breathing techniques,

Physical practices that can bring you into this state.

There are experiences of bliss,

Love,

Wonder that can make you feel so peaceful and still.

What if you were to devote just five minutes a day to feeling peaceful?

One of our misconceptions around a practice of peace is that while we are doing this practice of peace,

We have to be perfectly peaceful throughout it.

And yet the truth is,

Great meditators know that they cultivate a more peaceful mind through the practice of meditation and allowing whatever is in their mind or their nervous system when they go into the meditation to simply be there.

So holding an intention for peace is powerful.

Even if you do not feel peaceful as you are holding the intention,

You start to create a place in yourself where conflict energy,

Disharmony,

Chaos,

Overwhelm,

Fight,

Defensiveness can all start to put down their energy,

Their arms,

And just relax for a moment inside you.

Can you take five minutes a day to just rest in peace and silence?

When we first practice with peace,

We may feel far from peaceful and we may notice the chaos inside us,

But the more we create that space,

The more we return to a practice of five,

Ten minutes a day where we sit in silence,

Inviting ourselves to come to a still point,

The more powerful our ability with peace will become.

Peace is a place of acceptance,

Accepting what is without needing to be in resistance to it,

Control of it,

Fighting anything.

So this is why we often have to go within and be still,

Because peace can be found within us no matter what is going on around and outside us.

I allow myself to feel peace is the affirmation.

Join me.

I allow myself to feel peace.

You can try the words,

I am safe to feel peace.

I am safe to feel peace.

This might move or dislodge any part of you that doesn't feel safe to feel peace right now.

So after using that affirmation,

You can return to,

I allow myself to feel peace.

The peace inside you is precious and deserves some time and attention from you every day.

In love and in peace to you as you go about your day.
