Hello and welcome.
My name is Leah Shigerman and this is a chakra awakening and balancing meditation.
The chakras are major energy centers in the body.
They're often called Orling vortexes of energy and today we'll be working with the seven major chakras that run from the base of the spine up through the crown of the head.
So come to find a comfortable position.
You may wish to lie down or find a comfortable seat.
Find any position where you're able to elongate your spine.
So lengthen from the base of your spine through the crown of your head wherever you are.
Soften and relax your body as much as possible and if it feels comfortable for you then close your eyes.
Draw your awareness inside.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Find a slow and steady pace that can remain consistent throughout your practice.
When you feel ready,
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
The very root of your being.
In this space in your body visualize a glowing ball of red illuminating the space.
Feel grounded,
Secure,
Confident.
Hear the sound,
LAM.
And as you focus on this space within you,
Silently repeat to yourself,
I am.
I am.
Bring your awareness to your sacrum,
The triangular shaped bone just below your lower back and above your tailbone.
The space in your body about one to two inches below your navel.
Visualize a glowing ball of orange illuminating this space in your body.
Feel creative,
Sensual,
Expressive.
Hear the sound,
VAM.
And silently repeat to yourself,
I feel.
I feel.
Draw your awareness to the space just below your sternum,
Just beneath your breastbone.
Visualize a glowing ball of yellow illuminating this space in your body.
Feel a connection to your sense of self,
Your intellect,
Your purpose,
Your ambition.
Hear the sound,
RAM.
And silently repeat to yourself,
I will.
I will.
Draw your awareness to your heart at the very center of your chest.
Visualize a glowing ball of green illuminating this space in your body.
Feel compassionate,
Accepting,
Empathetic,
Love.
Hear the sound,
YAM.
And silently repeat to yourself,
I love.
I love.
Bring your awareness to your throat.
Visualize a glowing ball of blue illuminating this space in your body.
Feel truthful,
Verbal,
Expressive.
Hear the sound,
HUM.
And silently repeat to yourself,
I speak.
I speak.
Draw your awareness to your third eye center,
The space between your eyebrows.
Visualize a glowing ball of indigo illuminating this space in your body.
Feel intuitive,
Thoughtful,
Imaginative.
Hear the sound,
OM.
And silently repeat to yourself,
I know.
I know.
Bring your awareness to the crown of your head and the space just above it.
Visualize a glowing ball of violet illuminating this space.
And watch the color ascend to whiteness.
Feel spiritual,
Wise,
Divine.
Hear the sound of silence.
Silence.
Silently repeat to yourself,
I understand.
I understand.
Visualize the entire rainbow illuminating your body.
Feel the balance of energy within you as each major chakra has awoken.
Feel your connection to yourself.
Feel your understanding of the divine.
Feel the balance and awakening that you've created.
And keep this balanced energy with you as you move on with your day.
