In this meditation,
We're going to be listening to this while breastfeeding.
So feel free to get comfortable Latch your little one on and take those moments to get there Make sure that you are comfortable as we'll be here for about 10 minutes Once you're ready,
Take a few big breath breathing in finding that nice posture And softening through the neck and shoulders Breathing in feeling the love and connection from your little bubs Letting go of any tension in your body starting to soften Gaze down at your little one now make sure that your neck is comfortable here.
You can be in any position at all seated lying Long as you're supported I'd like you to gaze down at their gorgeous little eyes whether they're open or closed Looking at the shape the little curves the eyelashes even their little eyebrows Look at that beautiful perfection in front of you Because that is what they are your perfect little bubs Looking at their gorgeous little nose Little curves around the nostrils where they breathe Maybe noticing the nostrils flaring Maybe they're in a nice Restful steady breath as they feed Know that your energy that you're in when feeding them Will transfer into your baby.
So if you're feeling rushed And that tense energy is hanging around you even just taking a few big breaths to connect slow down It's also going to help them connect and feed well So let go of any tension in your shoulders Looking at their gorgeous cheeks Notice what side you're feeding from The moments are sucking Or having a little break Perhaps you'd like to count each suck before they swallow Really connecting Taking notice of every little phase Might have noticed your letdown We actually have multiple letdowns as we feed And you'll notice this Especially if you're aware of how often your baby is sucking and swallowing They're swallowing quite frequently It is likely that you've just had another letdown Even if you didn't feel it What we're doing right now is just becoming aware of this Not needing to change anything We're doing a beautiful job Nourishing the perfect little bubba Giving them exactly what they need Perhaps you might like to hold their hand Have a look down at it if it is free Noticing the little wrinkles Their little perfect fingernails,
Maybe they're quite sharp Might even notice some little scratches on their face from those little nails that grow so quickly Notice any movement that they do Whether it be just a little wriggle Maybe a clench of the fist Soak in every moment We never truly know When it might be their last breastfeed Anything could happen,
They may choose to wean off before we're even ready Or if we are lucky we may get to choose when we start to cut back the feeds from the breast Know that it is going to be perfectly timed for them or for you No need to worry There's no need to worry Just enjoy this present moment that you have right now Perhaps noticing those little sucking movements Noticing your posture If you're comfortable still If you'd like to close your eyes now,
Feel free to Rather than looking at them.
I want you to Memorize this moment Rather than see them sucking at your breast Feel it.
It's such a different connection Notice where both of their arms and hands are Maybe on your body,
Skin to skin Maybe on top of your clothing or their clothing.
