Bonfire Spirit Family Guided Meditation Journey
This guided journey is very visual and will progress relatively quickly. I'm pleased to offer this journey to help you connect with your inner spirit family. Namaste and enjoy. I recommend doing some breathing exercises or yoga with this. Take 10 deep and full breaths, then begin.
Transcript
Let's take a deep inhale.
And sigh it out.
Do two more like that,
Breathing in,
Drawing the energy from the root up to the crown,
And then exhaling from the crown down to the roots.
Inhaling from the tailbone up through every chakra,
Into your heart,
Into your head,
Into your crown.
Exhaling back down.
Let's do one more like that,
Breathing in from the bottom of the spine all the way into the mind.
And then exhaling down,
Down,
Down,
Releasing it onto the earth.
Now,
Nice steady,
Even breath,
Noticing,
Noticing the breath but steadily releasing control of it.
Allowing the shoulders to relax and the hands to soften.
Noticing the chest expand and contract,
The shoulders rise and fall naturally with the breath.
Allowing the hips to relax.
Eyes closed or gazing at a fixed point.
Continuing to soften.
And as you notice yourself exhale,
You notice that each body part relaxes a bit deeper.
And then you bring your attention to the crown of your head to two inches above the top point,
The topest point of your head,
And imagine a golden orb of light.
And as you focus on this orb of light above your head,
It starts to glow and radiate through every color,
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue,
Purple,
Indigo,
Gold,
Silver,
Bright white light and it starts to shine brighter and brighter.
And you can feel its warmth on the top of your head.
And you feel as if this light is shining on the top of your head,
Melting,
Melting into your melting along the sides of your face.
This is the energy of your higher power,
Your connection to source.
This is cosmic consciousness.
This is your intention of light and love and peace and health.
And as you notice this light cascading down the face,
Softening the forehead and the corners of the eyes,
Rolling down the back of the head,
The sides of the head,
Relaxing the ears,
Relaxing into the cheeks,
Corners of the lips soften as you bring a gentle smile,
That calm and abiding,
Easeful smile of the Buddha.
Relaxing the jawline,
The back of the neck,
Feeling this warm light flow into the neck,
Relaxing the throat,
Softening into the shoulders,
Feel the shoulders get warm,
Warm and at ease,
Melting down,
Relaxing through the elbows,
The forearms.
You feel your wrists unwind,
Any tension there,
Just unwinding,
Finding softness,
Relaxing the hands,
The palms,
Down to each fingertip.
Feel that tingling in the fingertip extend out from your hands,
Radiating the energy out from your hands and bringing them into relaxation.
And drawing that relaxation back up the hands,
Into the arms,
Into the chest,
As you notice that your chest expands with the breath.
As you exhale,
The chest softens,
This light flows through your chest,
Through your chest down into your belly as your belly expands.
And with an exhale,
The belly softens,
Relaxing all internal organs.
And you notice from your neck,
Down each vertebrae,
Down your back,
Down to your tailbone,
Feel each vertebrae and let the light shine down through each one,
Softening the muscles alongside each vertebrae,
Bringing them into perfect harmony and alignment,
Relaxing any tension,
Allowing them to stack,
Gently,
Gently stack.
And everything is perfectly centered above your hips and so this energy flows down into your hips,
Softening everything from the belly down,
Relaxing,
Relaxing into your upper legs,
Down to your knees,
Softening,
Feeling your lower legs,
Relaxation flows into the ankles,
Unwinding and allowing the ankles to soften the feet,
And into each toe,
Totally relaxed.
Taking a few moments with the whole body completely at ease.
And radiate out from your heart space,
A warm,
Healing light,
Expanding from the heart space,
Enveloping the entire body and your auric field.
And now imagine that you are standing in a familiar field with the early morning sun shining kindly upon your face and body,
Feeling the grass beneath your bare feet.
Looking around,
You see a forest off in your distance to your left and a high mountaintop peaks in the distance to your right.
Right alongside you to your left and right,
Sprouts up rows of corn,
Wheat,
Soy and other agriculture.
Looking down,
You notice a dirt path extends from your feet far up ahead towards a flowing river.
You feel safe and happy here,
And you know that there is something that you are supposed to accomplish or experience here.
And so you take one step,
Then another down this simple dirt path,
Feeling the warm ground beneath your feet,
Smelling the earth and the land.
Each step takes you deeper and deeper into relaxation.
As you approach the river,
Notice how this place feels to you.
As your feet step on two patches of grass,
You notice that the rows of plants have receded and tall trees have sprouted up alongside you and in front of you along the river's bank.
Stepping onto grass,
And you take another step and you see a small beachhead with sand and pebbles extending out into the river.
Stepping onto the rocks and the sand,
You see a canoe resting at the water's edge.
You walk up to the canoe.
One of your feet steps into the water.
It's cool and refreshing.
It feels lovely,
Has a lovely counterbalance to the warm sun upon your body.
Gazing at this canoe,
You place one hand on its wooden frame.
It is of a mysterious design,
Radiant and shimmering with the reflection of the light.
You see beautiful hieroglyphic markings alongside its hull and stern.
The boat is oddly familiar.
And so you step inside.
It feels as if it was made just for you.
You see an oar and you take it,
Press it into the sand,
You push off from the shore and begin to gently flow down the river.
Gazing at the water,
Rippling out from your momentum,
You see tall trees reflecting in the water.
You hear the chirp-chirp of morning birds.
What else do you see floating down this river?
Swaying with the gentleness of the river,
You listen to water lapping up on the canoe.
Taking a moment,
Enjoy this with all your senses.
You see a tall mountain ahead.
You see that the water gently flows into a gateway through the cliff face.
As you get closer,
You see the same markings alongside this gateway as are on the canoe.
As you pass underneath,
A gong rings out.
Looking alongside this cave's high ceilings and rocky walls,
You see phosphorescent bugs crawling and you see glowing butterflies.
Just on top of the riverway,
Flying by you,
You could almost reach out and catch one.
Notice their colors,
Bright blues and green.
The canoe slows down and stops alongside a set of four stairs.
The steps are lined by two torches.
Up beyond,
You see a huge,
Empty,
Expansive amphitheater with smooth rock floors and walls that extend somewhere out in the distance.
Rising up from the canoe,
Stepping onto the stone,
You can feel the vibration of power here.
Your power,
Your primordial essence is radiating through the air here.
Feeling your confidence soar,
You step out of the boat and walk up the stairs.
Passing the torches,
You see in the center of this circular space an enormous fire pit with well-stacked firewood placed atop.
Again,
You feel that you're supposed to do something here,
So you take a seat in front of the pyre.
You check your pockets,
But nope,
No lighter.
Gazing at the pile of the wood,
You think,
How can I light this fire?
And upon that very thought,
You see a spark ignite at the base of the flame,
Which quickly lights one log,
Then another.
And you see the red-hot tips of the fire start to grow and expand,
Rising through the wood,
Quickly becoming a roaring,
Popping hot bonfire.
Gazing at its red,
Glowing,
Powerful hearts,
And seeing your heart reflected in this beautiful bonfire.
You notice the cream-colored ashes and red veins in the wood,
Feeling its heat.
Gazing into the fire,
Opening the heart,
Feeling its warmth radiate into your heart space.
You feel the love of all beings radiating from this fire.
And so you breathe in,
And then you breathe out,
Sending your love back into the fire.
You receive again the warmth from the fire,
Letting the fire send you all of the love of the universe.
And when you receive that love,
Feeling that heat and that love from the universe,
You send it back into the fire,
Extending your love,
Your offering into this universe,
This fire of your intention,
Of your devotion.
And then you receive the warmth from the fire again,
And you feel this warmth melt and begin to touch upon every aspect of yourself.
You feel the fire bringing you into unity and offering this prayer onto the fire.
You say unto the fire,
I offer you my fear and my faith,
My anxieties and my certainty,
Oh fire,
I offer you my affection and my aversion,
My little white lies and my steadfast truth.
I offer my hunger,
My thirst,
My labor and my service.
And with each energy received by the fire,
Both polarities are diffused into singular infinity.
And thus,
I offer my creativity and my goal-ness,
Boredom and excitement I offer over my lust,
My longing and my fulfillment.
My love and my loneliness,
You say unto the fire,
I offer my visions and my vision,
My hearing and things heard,
My sense of touch and all things felt.
My peaceful ecstasy and profound stillness of deep meditation as I offer the intention of my meditation without concern for outcome.
Staying unto the fire that you were always present,
Oh Krishna,
Oh Brahman,
Great spirits,
Indra,
Mother Earth,
Father Sky,
I am that I am.
Aum.
And you notice that you are being watched.
Looking around you,
This coliseum is no longer empty.
Surrounding the fire on all sides are other people.
Looking at each face,
You recognize every one of these folks.
And they look back at you with love and understanding.
Your recognition sparks for you as you see that this is your spirit family gathered around the fire with you.
What do they look like?
How does this feel to gather with your spirit family?
And sitting just to your left,
You see a person at exactly the same age as you are now.
And this is whom you were in your most recent past life.
And with that recognition,
They tell you their name.
What is their name?
And then they rock their head back and they howl at the fire.
Howl.
And the rest of your spirit family does too as you join in on the howl.
And some of them begin to dance and so do you too.
On the stone floor,
Drummers kick in in the band forms.
Noticing what kind of music your spirit family plays in celebration of your visit.
Notice that some of your family is enjoying plant medicine.
Some are conversing with each other.
Some are ecstatic and in celebration.
What else are they doing?
How are they dressed?
Enjoying this time,
Greeting as many of your past lives as you would like.
I've lived infinitely and this is quite a large gathering.
Noticing the different personalities and familiar energies present here.
When you feel that you're almost ready to move on,
You see your most recent form,
Your spirit friend.
What was their name again?
They tell you.
When you share a deep heartfelt hug of self love between worlds beyond time and space.
And then they hold your shoulders and you hold their shoulders gazing into each other's eyes.
You see deep in their eyes the reflection of your eyes.
And if they gaze back at you,
They offer you a bit of advice.
They either say it or you just know it by the sheer connection of this contact.
They know you.
They know your karma.
What advice do they offer you?
Taking just a bit more time here with your spirit friend.
Maybe you explore the space and greet some of your other spirit family.
Perhaps you do a bit more dancing.
Perhaps you sit in front of the fire and connect your heart with the heart of the fire.
And then making any more rounds or any goodbyes for now,
Knowing that your spirit family is always with you.
And this sacred fire resides within your heart.
You make your way back to the steps past the torches.
Stepping to the canoe.
Take one foot into the canoe and then you look back at your spirit family.
Dancing around the fire.
Many of them turn to meet your gaze and shout their blessings to you for your journey.
Sending you your well wishes.
And with a smile,
You place both feet in the boat and the boat begins to float back down the river.
In a few moments,
You pass under another gateway and you open up back to the bright midday sun shining down upon you.
You smell the forest.
You see beautiful trees.
Gazing around,
There's a magical forest in full bloom.
The trees are tall and of every conceivable color.
Purple,
Dark,
Pink,
Orange leaves and plenty of green.
Leaves and vines.
To your right,
You see giant turtles with brilliantly colorful shells of geometric patterns basking in the sun.
Majestic dragonflies flutter across the surface of the rippling waters.
Noticing what other animals you see.
What other birds you see and what you hear here.
And the canoe comes to another beach.
Rising up out of the canoe,
You step onto the white sand.
You feel called to sit down and upon that thought,
A beautiful yoga mat and cushion appear in front of you on the beach.
And so you take a seat upon that yoga mat and that yoga cushion.
Or perhaps you lie down,
Feeling the sun radiate upon you,
Listening to the sound of the water.
Noticing what else is in your experience here.
Taking a few more moments to integrate.
And then notice how you're breathing.
Begin to breathe a bit deeper.
Hearing the sound of your breath.
Feeling the expansion of the body,
The life giving oxygen.
Feeling your heart cycle this oxygen through your blood from your spiritual fire at your heart center.
In your core,
Radiating that out to your extremities,
To your feet,
To your hands.
Let your breath continue to expand.
Taking a deep three part breath,
Breathing into the belly,
The chest and the collar.
And sighing it out.
Once more.
And then wiggling the fingers and the toes,
Gentle movements bringing that awakeness and aliveness into the body.
Rolling the wrists and the ankles.
Arms and legs.
And then reaching your arms up above you,
Take a nice full body stretch.
Stretch a bit further.
And then bring your knees into your chest.
And then you can rock over to one side or gently rock up to a seated pose.
Making your way up to your seat.
Let's take three cleansing breaths and then three ohms to close,
Breathing in and letting go.
Filling the lungs.
And listening to the exhale.
Breathing in love,
Life,
Peace and joy.
Exhaling to cycle that out to the universe.
Breathing in for ohm,
Ah and mm.
Ahm.
Ahm.
Ahm.
