Hi,

I'm Lori and welcome to this guided meditation for aligning your heart and your mind and to help you with living your authentic life.

I want you to start by finding a comfortable location where you will not be disturbed.

Turn the phone off,

Any background noise or music and close the door to the room you are in if you are able.

This meditation is best done laying down,

So take a moment to adjust your bed covers and pillows so you are comfortable.

Now I'd like you to place your non-dominant hand over your heart center in the middle of your chest.

Then take your dominant hand and put it right over top of your non-dominant hand.

If this feels uncomfortable,

This is your opportunity to grab some pillows to support under your arms or elbows.

This is a critical component to the mind-heart connection so we want you to be comfortable and able to relax.

So please take a moment and adjust as needed.

With your hands over your heart,

Just breathe naturally.

Your brain and your heart both share common sensory neurites.

As they are sensory in nature,

Just you touching your chest results in a sensation of heat coming from your hands onto your chest.

This will trigger your brain to pay attention to this new sensory stimulus.

You are immediately starting to connect your heart and your mind right now just by using the sensory neurite stimuli.

Keep your hands over your heart through this meditation and just breathe.

Pay attention to your breathing.

Don't change anything.

Just notice how it feels and how it sounds as you breathe naturally.

Notice how your nervous system is starting to calm down.

By activating the sensory neurites in your heart and your brain,

You are telling your brain that you are safe.

You're connecting with your heart.

You're relaxing and releasing.

So just breathe naturally now.

On your next exhale,

Release any tension or tightness you're feeling in your legs,

Your feet,

Your calves,

Your shins.

Turn your attention to your buttocks and your hips and your pelvic bone.

Try to breathe into these areas,

Exhaling any tightness or strain,

Any tension or stress that might be locked in those areas.

Now moving up your body,

Relax your sacral and your solar plexus.

So that's the area below your belly button and above your belly button.

Breathe into these areas,

Releasing any stress or tension,

Any emotional upset,

Any lack of confidence or feeling of personal power that you're lacking.

Just release it all.

We're going to reset today.

Let all the negative emotions and feelings just go.

On your next exhale,

I want you to relax from the top of your spine all the way down to your tailbone.

Try imagining breathing into your spine and having the breath go up and down along your spine,

Clearing and relaxing and cleansing.

As you exhale,

Consciously relax the tendons and ligaments and muscles.

Now take a breath and on the exhale,

Drop your shoulders.

As you focus on dropping your shoulders,

Try and unlock and release any tension or stress that you've got locked in along your shoulders.

Relaxing your muscles,

Release your tendons and ligaments.

Now take a breath and feel the tension melt across the tops of your shoulders,

Down your biceps and triceps,

Past your elbows and forearms,

Through your hands and right out your fingertips.

Take about four natural breaths and with every exhale,

Unlock,

Release and imagine it just flowing down your arms and out your fingers.

Now turn your attention to your heart center,

Right smack dab in the middle of your chest.

Open up your heart center by breathing into your heart.

Every inhale,

Feel the oxygenated blood swirling through your heart,

Releasing any stress or tension,

Any feelings of lack that you're feeling,

Any negative emotions of worry,

Anger,

Fear,

Judgment,

Resentment,

Sorrow.

Just let it all go.

Try breathing through your heart now.

As you breathe into your heart,

Breathe through your heart and let the oxygenated blood flow throughout your whole body.

As your breath into your heart and throughout your body.

Now as your oxygenated blood is flowing through your whole entire system,

I want you to imagine breathing through your heart and right up to your crown and out your crown.

So take a nice deep breath,

Fill your heart center,

Push the oxygenated blood right up to your crown,

Swirling around your brain.

Exhale and relax deeper and deeper.

So breathe in,

Push it up to your crown and breathe out.

Do that about four times,

Concentrating on getting the breath to move through your heart and up into your crown.

Now relax your head and your eyes,

Soften your cheeks and release your jaw tension.

You can wiggle your jaw left and right to help you unlock any stored up tension in your jaw.

If you can,

Keep your teeth apart.

As we work through this,

This will help the energy flow.

Now I want you to imagine you're sitting on a large boulder at the edge of a lake shore.

It's a vast lake surrounded by mountains and rolling hillsides covered in forest.

The water is calm like glass.

You can see the sun just starting to rise.

There's a very gentle breeze high up through the trees.

As you sit there listening to the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves of the trees,

I want you to become aware and be present of how your body feels sitting there.

Become aware of your bare feet in the sand below.

Feel the coolness of the sand and yet you feel warm inside and at peace.

Feel the warmth of the sun's rays as they reach your face.

Your whole body feels warm and relaxed and calm.

You are safe here.

You are at peace here.

Life feels so good here.

You are relaxed and grounded firmly to Mother Earth.

Nature's all around you energizing your heart and your mind and your spirit.

Just relax and breathe in the grounding energy from Mother Earth that you can feel on your bare feet.

Feel it pulsate up your feet into your legs and then become aware of the warm healing energy from the sun's rays on your face and body.

You are at peace here in this sacred special place just for you.

You are safe and calm and relaxed.

I want you to stay present in this place as we work through some positive affirmations to help you align your heart and mind.

Become aware that you are still holding your heart with both your hands.

Become aware of your breathing nice and natural.

Now repeat after me.

I am whole mind,

Body and spirit.

Aligning your heart and mind just takes time.

It's not hard.

It takes practice to reprogram your brain to start paying attention to your heart within instead of paying attention to the world outside.
