Welcome to this meditation where we will work on balancing the energy of the liver through the healing sound for this organ.
When the liver is healthy,
Blood is abundant and the circulation of Qi is smooth.
As a result,
Ideas and creativity flow healthily and we have the ability to envision goals and put plans into action.
The healing sound for the liver is the following sound.
As if you were soothing a baby.
This sound is believed to help regulate the liver and promote the smooth flow of energy throughout the body.
For this practice,
Please sit on the edge of a chair.
With as much as you can a 90 degree angle between your hips and your knees and your knees and your ankles.
The feet will be hip width apart and the soles of the feet are resting flat on the ground.
In this posture,
Let's begin connecting to the breath.
So inhale for a count of four.
And exhale for a count of four.
As you inhale,
The belly is expanding forward.
And as you exhale,
The belly releases back down.
Stay with the breath count.
As you relax the weight of your body down.
Breathing in for four.
Breathing out for a count of four.
Relaxing the weight of your head,
Your neck and shoulders,
Your torso and arms.
Your hips and your legs.
Connecting deeper into the ground.
Imagining that roots are growing from the hips and the soles of your feet into the earth.
Keeping the breath count.
Take your attention to the lower right ribs.
Where the liver lives.
And take your breath with the count into the liver.
Bringing the intention to connect with this big beautiful organ.
As you exhale,
Release the breath count but stay connected with your liver,
The bottom right side of your ribs.
From this relaxed rooted place we're going to do the healing sound for the liver with some breath and some movement.
So first I will explain and then we will do the practice together.
So on the inhale,
You're going to bring the hands up through the sides,
Interlacing the fingers on the top of the head,
Elbows are stretched and palms of the hands are facing up.
And when you exhale,
We're going to lean to the left,
Exhaling the liver sound.
As you inhale we're going to come back to the center and the next exhale we'll release your hands down to the thighs so that we can inhale and repeat this sequence,
This time leaning to the right.
Take a deep exhale,
Again bringing your attention to the lower right side of your ribs.
And we will begin the practice again by emptying the lungs,
Exhaling all the air out.
And as you inhale,
Start to bring the hands up through the sides,
Interlacing the fingers.
And as you exhale,
Make the.
Healing sound leaning towards the left.
Inhale,
Come back to the centre and exhale,
Release the hands down to the thighs.
Inhale again bringing the hands up and release the fingers.
Exhale,
Tilting towards the right with the healing sound.
Inhaling back to the center.
And exhale,
Hands down to your thighs.
Inhale again,
Bring the hands up,
Interlace the fingers,
Exhale towards the left.
Inhale,
Center.
Exhale,
Hands to your thighs.
Inhale,
Hands up,
Edge,
Release the fingers.
Exhale,
Tilt towards the right.
Inhale back to the center.
Exhale,
Hands down.
We're going to do one more time tilting to the left,
One more time tilting to the right at your own rhythm.
So follow your breath and move at your own time.
And we will meet after this sequence with the hands on the thighs.
When you're done with the practice,
Just breathe still connecting with your liver,
The lower side of your right ribs.
Breathe here,
Smiling to your liver.
Imagine it.
Vibrating with a beautiful emerald green color.
Like the sunlight coming through the canopy leaves.
Smile into your liver sending this energy this vibration of gratitude into the liver Taking three more breaths,
Sharing this beautiful energy and gratitude towards her liver.
And next time you exhale,
Gently open your eyes,
Orienting again to the space around you.
Thank you so much for practicing today and bringing this healing sound into your liver.
