Hello,

Welcome to today's practice where we'll be letting go of negative thoughts and feelings.

My name is Lara and I'll be guiding us today.

Before we begin,

Go ahead and find a comfortable position for you,

Either sitting upright with a straight spine or lying down on your back if that feels more loving and supportive to you right now.

Once you're there,

You can rest your hands wherever feels good and allow your eyes to gently close or gaze softly down in front of you.

You've taken the time to be here,

So really allow yourself to be present in this moment,

Letting anything from the day thus far go,

Anything you may have to do after this practice also go.

You can even tell your mind it doesn't have to solve any problems right now.

Let's take three deep inhales and slow exhales together,

So empty any air out,

And big slow breaths in,

Really filling the belly with air.

And then slowly exhale through the mouth,

Again long deep inhale,

Imagining oxygen moving into every inch and cell of the body,

And let it out,

Maybe with a sigh.

Ahhhh.

Last one,

Deepest breath you've taken all day.

And exhale,

Beautiful.

You can let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm,

And just take the next minute to watch the breath as you breathe in and out,

Allowing every inhale to bring you deeper into this present moment,

And every exhale to soften and relax you even more.

Now imagine a beautiful beach with turquoise waters in the near distance,

And start to notice the smell of salty air,

Feel the sun on your face and skin,

And then start to imagine yourself walking toward the ocean.

You can either visualize it,

Or just feel it.

As you start walking,

Feel the soft and warm white sand underneath your feet.

Allow every step you take to feel soothing and grounding.

As you walk toward the ocean,

You leave footprints in the sand.

Imagine that each footprint represents a negative thought or feeling leaving your consciousness forever.

You can imagine specific thoughts,

Beliefs,

Emotions,

Or just imagine that it's negativity leaving you.

Keep stepping along the sand,

Feeling the sand on your bare feet,

Each step releasing negativity.

As you keep walking,

Feel a light,

Refreshing breeze against your skin.

Notice if you can hear any birds,

Or maybe the ocean in the distance.

As you walk closer to the waves,

Notice that the sand under your feet gets firmer because it's saturated with water.

Notice how you feel as each footprint lets go of negativity.

Every step you take releases something you've been carrying.

And now you get to the shore where the ocean meets the sand,

And you see gentle waves crashing along the shore,

And then retreating back,

And then retreating.

As the waves come and go,

You see some pretty shells of all colors in the sand,

And then you spot a little piece of driftwood that's perfect for riding in the sand.

Go ahead and pick up the driftwood,

And draw your name into the sand where it's moist.

Write out each letter,

Noticing how the sand changes with each movement.

Good.

Now step back and look at your name.

As you see your name that's carried you through your whole life,

You notice a little wave coming closer.

This wave catches part of your name and washes it away as it goes back into the ocean.

Taking your old negative thoughts,

Beliefs,

And patterns with it.

And then another wave comes and washes your name away even more,

Washing away old harmful thoughts and any negative emotions you had toward yourself or others.

And another wave comes and washes it away,

Taking away pains and fears about the future.

And another,

Until all you can see is ripples in the sand where your name used to be.

And instead of longing for anything,

You feel cleansed by the ocean's healing power.

Take a deep breath in,

Breathing in this new fresh air.

And exhale,

Letting something go.

Now continue to walk along the beach,

Noticing that here you feel so safe.

And with this supportive and unconditionally loving energy,

You're ready to let go of layers from your life that have weighed heavy on your soul.

As you continue to move along the white sand beach,

You're shedding layers that you no longer need,

Layers that do not serve you.

Layer after layer continues to drop from you as you walk along this beach.

And you don't even have to know what is releasing or label it in any way.

You just know it feels really good to let it go.

Really feel yourself walking along the beach,

Becoming lighter and freer.

Feeling more confident and ready to take on each present moment of life with enjoyment.

Now just imagine that you're walking toward your desired future,

Allowing yourself to call in any feelings or emotions,

Experiences that you desire.

Maybe just with each step calling in peace,

Love,

Abundance,

Joy,

Whatever feels true to you in this moment.

And now before saying goodbye to the beach,

Go ahead and thank it for its healing power.

And for helping you release so much today.

And then taking these feelings of peace with you,

Start to let that image of the beach go.

And now we're going to say several affirmations to help us let go of any worries and feel safe in this moment.

You can place a hand on your heart if that feels good.

And then repeat after me either out loud or in your head.

I let go of any negative feelings about myself or my life.

I release any judgments of myself or others.

I allow myself to be in the present moment.

I trust myself and life.

I have everything I need in this moment.

I am supported.

Everything is okay and will be okay.

I am worthy of peace.

I am worthy of happiness.

I am worthy of love.

I am worthy of all the blessings of the universe.

I allow myself to receive.

Take a couple minutes to breathe those affirmations and feelings of peace in,

Letting it sink deep into your mind,

Body,

And spirit.

Beautiful.

Now maybe with a smile,

Thank yourself for taking the time to do this practice and show yourself love and care in this way.

And then start to gently come back to the present moment,

Maybe wiggling the fingers and toes,

Inviting movement slowly back into the body.

And then whenever you feel ready,

Taking as much time as you'd like,

You can slowly and gently open your eyes.
