Metta Meditation,
Also known as Loving-Kindness Meditation,
Is a popular form of mindfulness practice that originates from Buddhist traditions.
The word metta translates to loving-kindness or benevolence in Pali,
A language used in early Buddhist texts.
In metta meditation,
The primary focus is on cultivating a deep sense of unconditional love,
Compassion,
And goodwill towards oneself and others.
It involves silently repeating specific phrases or mantras,
Sending well-wishes and positive intentions to oneself,
Loved ones,
Neutral individuals,
Difficult people,
And ultimately,
To all beings.
Metta Meditation aims to cultivate positive emotions,
Empathy,
And a sense of connection with others.
By developing loving-kindness and compassion,
Practitioners strive to counteract negative emotions such as anger,
Resentment,
And judgment.
It is believed that regular practice of metta meditation can lead to greater well-being,

Please find a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down.
Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to let go of any tension.
See if you can make yourself just 10% more comfortable.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
And release with a sigh if that feels right for you,
Relaxing deeper into your space.
We will begin by connecting with the energy of Reiki.
I will draw the symbols.
While you envision a warm healing light surrounding you,
Feel this gentle energy permeating every cell of your body,
Bringing you a sense of peace and serenity.
Allow this light to wrap you in its warmth and protective embrace.
Allow your breath to be natural throughout this meditation.
Now bring to mind your inner child,
The part of you that experienced hurt in adolescence.
Visualize this younger version of yourself sitting in front of you.
Send loving kindness and compassion to your inner child.
Sing silently or out loud.
May you be safe and protected.
May you be free from fear and harm.
May you find healing and peace.
May you be filled with love and joy.
May you remember your inherent worth and value.
May you be happy and free.
As you repeat these phrases,
Imagine Reiki energy flowing from your heart towards your inner child,
Surrounding them with healing light and love.
Feel this energy dissolving any pain or suffering you may have experienced.
May you be safe and protected.
May you be free from fear and harm.
May you find healing and peace.
May you be filled with love and joy.
May you remember your inherent worth and value.
May you be happy and free.
Now expand the circle of loving kindness to include yourself in the present moment.
We will again repeat the phrases,
Directing them towards our present self,
Acknowledging our healing journey.
May you be safe and protected.
May you be free from fear and harm.
May you find healing and peace.
May you be filled with love and joy.
May you remember your inherent worth and value.
May you be happy and free.
We will now extend loving kindness to others who may have been involved in our difficult childhood situations.
This may include family members,
Caregivers,
Or any other individuals.
Wish them healing and forgiveness,
Saying,
May you find peace and understanding.
May you be free from suffering.
May you learn and grow from your experiences.
May you find love and compassion.
We will now expand the circle of loving kindness to include all beings near and far.
Visualize your love and compassion radiating outwards,
Encompassing the entire world.
May you be safe and protected.
May you be free from fear and harm.
May you find healing and peace.
May you be filled with love and joy.
May you be happy and free.
Rest here for a few moments,
Basking in the energy of loving kindness and healing Reiki.
Allow it to fill your entire being.

Begin to deepen your breath.
You may bring small movements to your fingers and toes.
And when you are ready,
