Welcome to this meditation for healing trauma.
Please begin by finding a comfortable and quiet space where you can sit or lie down without interruptions.
Once you have found a comfortable seat,
Close your eyes and allow your hands to rest comfortably either at your sides or in your lap,
Palms down for a more inward focus.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs completely,
Hold it for a moment,
And exhale slowly,
Releasing all tension.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
With each inhale,
Imagine a warm,
Healing light entering your body.
This light is gentle and soothing,
Filling you with a sense of peace.
It is a safe light,
One that carries love and comfort.
As you continue to breathe mindfully,
Visualize a safe place.
This could be anywhere that makes you feel secure and at peace,
Perhaps a forest glen or wrapped in the arms of a loved one.
Notice the details of this place,
Colors,
The sounds,
And how you feel being there.
Now begin to acknowledge the trauma you have experienced.
It is like a shadow that has been following you.
Recognize that it's there,
But also know that you are not this trauma,
You are so much more.
Imagine that with every exhale,
You are releasing some of the pain and negative emotions associated with your trauma.
They leave your body with the breath and dissolve into the air,
Becoming harmless.
Now allow your awareness to settle on your body.
Focus on the areas of your body that hold the trauma.
Send the warm light to these places.
Feel as the light mends and soothes the wounds,
Both physical and emotional.
Now repeat these following affirmations,
Silently or aloud.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am worthy of healing.
I am stronger than my trauma.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am worthy of healing.
I am stronger than my trauma.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am worthy of healing.
I am stronger than my trauma.
Bring to mind things you are grateful for.
With each thought of gratitude,
Feel the love and warmth grow within you.
This love is powerful and it is healing you.
Rest here for a moment in the vibrant embrace of this love as it permeates your sacred vessel.
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are worthy of healing.
You are stronger than your trauma.
Remember,
Your trauma is not your fault.
Repeat this affirmation aloud or to yourself.
It was not my fault.
It was not my fault.
It was not my fault.
In this sacred space we have created together,
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are worthy of healing.
You are stronger than your trauma.
When you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the present moment.
You may begin to deepen your breath and bring small movements to your fingers and toes,
Sensing the healing energy stirring there.
You may open your eyes.
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking this time to heal.
Remember that healing is a journey.
You have taken an important step today.
Remember to practice this meditation regularly and be patient with yourself.
Healing takes time,
But each step forward is progress.
With love and gratitude,
Be well.
