Take a moment to sit comfortably and quietly as we take five deep and slow breaths to relieve stress and anxiety. My hope and prayer are that you come away feeling a little closer to peace at the end of this short and simple meditation.

Transcript

Sit comfortably,

Keeping your spine straight but relaxed.

Tuck your chin slightly so that your neck stays in alignment with your spine.

Close your eyes if this is comfortable for you.

Otherwise,

Gaze gently at a spot on the wall in front of you.

Inhale slowly through your nose,

And allow your exhale to be a beat or two longer than your inhale.

Inhale slowly,

Exhale slowly,

Let the breath go.

Again,

Inhale and exhale slowly.

Inhale slowly and exhale slowly.

Last time,

Inhale deeply and slowly,

Exhale slowly,

Letting the breath go completely.
