Welcome aboard to tonight's sleep spaceship.

A journey that will take you to the destination of deep and restful REM.

My name is Kim and I am the AI that will pilot your spaceship.

Please rest assured that I am the most advanced,

Infallible technology known in this universe.

My purpose is to ensure your journey is safe while being as relaxing and soothing as possible.

Currently you will hear the spaceship's motherboard beginning to set your course.

The beeping and whirring noises will only last for the first 1 minute and 29 seconds of your voyage.

For the remainder you will only hear my voice in the drone of the ship's engines.

This should further help your journey into sleep.

Your requirements and desires are always placed first and foremost on tonight's trip.

Essentially,

Though I may pilot this craft,

Your subconscious mind will direct the spaceship to the most perfect place for you to visit.

You remain always the captain of this ship.

My task is to ensure you proceed safely and smoothly to the best REM destination for you.

So that you sleep deeply and soundly throughout the night.

Awaking only at a time that you set for yourself.

Feeling refreshed,

Positive,

Relaxed and optimistic.

Although you need to wake for any reason at all,

You will do so.

Tend to whatever needs attending.

Return to bed.

And just by bringing your attention to your body,

You fall naturally and easily back to sleep.

So making yourself comfortable now.

Preferably lying on your back,

With your arms resting lightly at your sides and your legs uncrossed.

And when you're ready,

Take a deep breath in.

And as you breathe out,

Close your eyes and begin to relax.

Bringing your attention to the sounds you now hear.

The drone of the ship's engines.

The sound of my voice.

Each and every word you hear taking you deeper down into tranquility and sleep.

Each and every space between the words taking you further down into relaxation and slumber.

There is absolutely nothing that you need to do.

Just lie back and listen.

You will now begin to feel the spaceship as it begins to slowly rotate in a downwards direction.

Helping your body feel more deeply relaxed than you have ever felt before.

The slow and smooth spiral of the spaceship making you sink more heavily into your bed.

Wonderful. The hum of the "spaceship" is so soothing. It's hard to find that sort of mechanical white noise in sleep stories, but it's so effective. If you don't like the boop-beep noise, don't panic, they only last a minute.
