That takes you up to the white stone steps of the 16th century French Chateau.

Continuing to walk slowly across the lawn.

You may decide to remove your shoes.

And feel the cool freshness of the grass beneath your feet.

Each slow footstep.

Aware of the sensation of the earth.

You reach the terrace steps.

And as you begin to walk up the steps.

You are aware of the contrasting warmth of the flagstones against your bare feet.

There are beautiful and bountiful cascades of climbing roses.

Growing along the terrace balustrade.

.

.

.

.

.

And against the wall of the chateau.

.

Breathing in deeply.

.

.

.

.

.

You smell the calming perfume of the Bathsheba roses.

.

.

.

.

.

An aromatic mix of myrrh.

.

.

.

.

.

Honey.

.

.

.

.

.

And tea.

.

.

.

.

.

The roses are full rosettes with lots of petals of a pretty peach apricot hue.

.

.

.

And a hint of the softest yellow.

.

.

The chateau is made of warm coloured sandstone.

.

.

.

.

.

And in shape is made up of a pleasing combination of large square towers.

.

.

Defences.

And a semi-circular tower.

The double terrace doors are open.

And surrounding the large door frame are more roses.

The most beautiful.

And abundant that you have ever seen.

Walking in.

You see.

Feel.

You become aware of the sensation of the staircase silently rotating.

Each coming from a different period of history.

Some have beautiful and intricate carvings.

And inlays.

While others are simpler in pattern.

You begin walking slowly around this room.

Looking more closely at each of the wardrobes.

.

.

.

There is a large Victorian closet made of a beautiful rich mahogany.

.

.

.

.

.

With ornate leafy carvings along its top corners.

.

.

.

.

.

There is a huge satin wood armoire.

.

.

.

.

.

With three large doors containing old bevel edged mirrors in each of the panel doors.

.

.

.

.

.

And the mirrors have a beautiful antique silver mercury patina.

.

.

.

.

.

With little flecks of glitter showing its age.

.

.

.

.

And as you walk by each wardrobe.

.

.

.

You hear the soft sound of gentle music coming from within.

.

.

And each wardrobe has its own soporific melody.

Continuing to walk lazily.

Looking at each.

.

Perhaps noticing other particular styles that are a favourite of yours.

And you decide which wardrobe to open.

A decision that is known only to you.

Walking towards this wardrobe.

You silently open the closet door.

.

.

.

.

To hear the soothing music.

As it becomes a little louder.

A tune that is inviting.

You push back the beautiful garments on the rail.

And step inside.

.

And as you do.

You notice that the inside of the wardrobe is so much bigger than its exterior.

.

Within it is lit with a soft pinky yellow glow.

.

And you find that behind the first rail of clothes is another rail.

And this one too.

You slowly slide the hanging clothes apart.

To step deeper into the closet.

.

.

.

.

.

The clothes that are in this wardrobe are also clothes from different eras in time.

.

Pushing past the third rail of clothes.

.

.

.

.

You find yourself standing in a cosy Victorian bedroom.

.

.

.

You may choose to look more closely at some of the garments on the rails.

.

.

.

Noticing the gorgeous fabrics and textures.

.

.

.

.

.

In this bedroom.

.

.

.

.

The richly coloured curtains are drawn across the two windows.

.

There is a large four-poster bed.

.

.

.

.

.

With the most beautiful of bed linen.

.

.

.

.

And opposite the bed.

.

There is a small fireplace.

.

.

With a high-backed armchair.

.

The room is lit by a few lanterns that are ensconced on the wall.

.

.

And a larger one that stands on the pretty dressing table.

.

.

Placed between the two bedroom windows.

.

.

.

.

It has a beautiful velvet coloured chair.

.

.

.

.

And upon this chair.

.

.

.

.

You find your very own freshly laundered bedclothes.

.

.

.

.

These are particular to your own preferred style.

So putting them on.

You feel the soft fabric against your skin.

You are feeling warm and snug.

And you take a seat in the large comfortable armchair near the fireplace.

The golden light of the warm fire flickers softly.

Casting dancing shadows across the beautiful Persian rug.

Sitting back in the armchair.

You notice that there is a porcelain mug.

Or glass of your favourite night-time drink.

So making yourself comfy in the armchair.

You sit back and enjoy your drink.

Watching the flickering fire.

And listening to the soft crackle of the burning lugs.

And the ticking of the grandfather clock.

Breathing in.

You notice the soothing scent of the beeswax.

Mixed with a relaxing aroma of sandalwood.
