Cozy crime, because this sleep story is all about the scenery, ambiance, and comfort of staying in the "Hotel Olympos". Based on the film location of 'The Labours of Hercules', I hope you enjoy your retreat to this beautiful spa hotel in the snowy Swiss Alps....all the while remaining safe in the knowledge that no actual crimes are committed during your visit. The backing soundtrack is a composition of relaxing music and soothing sound effects, providing an auditory spa treatment.

Hello and welcome.

I'm Kim Coleman-Walsh,

And I'm happy to be your guide tonight,

Taking you on a journey into a deep and rejuvenating sleep.

This story was inspired by an adapted Agatha Christie novel,

Featuring a Hercule Poirot film location,

A stunning 1930s spa hotel,

Set high in the snowy landscape of the Swiss Alps.

Before I begin,

I would like to ensure you that hypnosis is a perfectly normal state of mind,

And one that you naturally enter daily,

Especially present as you are going to sleep,

And as you are waking up.

Though the word hypno refers to sleep,

Hypnosis is in fact a sensation of deep relaxation,

Accompanied with a highly focused state of attention.

As a hypnotherapist,

It is this juxtaposition of alertness and relaxation that enables a therapist to use positive suggestions both directly and through visualization,

Which lead to an overall deeper peace and sense of well-being in your everyday waking state.

As I guide you to this point of relaxation and ease,

Your subconscious mind is learning how to quiet your thoughts.

.

.

.

.

.

Turning the focus of your attention to the physical sensations of your body.

Learning to relax is an infinitely beautiful and helpful skill.

Through inner peace,

You perceive what exists beyond your conditioned thoughts.

.

.

.

.

.

To learn to see.

.

.

.

.

.

Know.

.

.

.

.

.

Feel.

.

.

.

.

.

And experience a part of you that is innately wise.

.

.

.

.

.

Kind.

.

.

.

.

.

And resilient.

So when you are ready,

Please make yourself comfortable in your bed.

.

.

.

.

.

And allow the focus of your attention to gently turn away from your thoughts.

.

.

.

.

.

By concentrating on the physical sensations of your body.

.

.

.

.

.

Using your imagination to see.

.

.

.

.

.

Feel.

.

.

.

.

.

Hear.

.

.

.

.

.

And experience.

.

.

.

.

.

Placed back in time.

.

.

.

.

.

There is absolutely nothing that you need to do.

.

.

.

.

.

Just lie back and listen.

.

.

.

.

.

Allowing all external cares to drift into the background as you give yourself this time and space.

.

.

.

.

.

Before drifting into sleep.

.

.

.

.

.

To calm and still your mind.

.

.

.

.

.

To relax and soothe your body and your emotions.

.

.

.

.

.

Bringing your attention to the sensation of your breath.

.

.

.

.

.

Breathing deeply in.

.

.

.

.

.

And slowly out.

.

.

.

.

.

With each breath in.

.

.

.

.

.

And each breath out.

.

.

.

.

.

You can let go of your day.

.

.

.

.

.

Quietening your mind as you release your thoughts.

.

.

.

.

.

Noticing how good it feels to allow your body to sink more deeply down into your bed.

.

.

.

.

.

Mind and body are one.

.

.

.

.

.

As one relaxes.

.

.

.

.

.

The other will follow.

.

.

.

.

.

And should you need to wake during the night.

.

.

.

.

.

You will do so.

.

.

.

.

.

Tend to whatever requires your attention.

.

.

.

.

.

Return to bed.

.

.

.

.

.

And just by bringing your attention to the sensation of your body lying in your bed.

.

.

.

.

.

You will easily.

.

.

.

.

.

And naturally drift back to sleep.

.

.

.

.

.

Sleeping deeply throughout the night.

.

.

.

.

.

And awaking only at a time that you set for yourself.

.

.

.

.

.

Bringing your attention now to the sounds.

.

.

.

.

.

You can hear the sound of my voice.

.

.

.

.

.

Any background noise.

.

.

.

.

.

Any noise.

.

.

.

.

.

Where you are.

.

.

.

.

.

So that each and every sound only helps you to relax more deeply.

.

.

.

.

.

Noticing also the space between the words.

.

.

.

.

.

The silence beneath the sounds.

.

.

.

.

.

Whatever you bring your attention to.

.

.

.

.

.

You naturally resonate with.

.

.

.

.

.

Letting go.

.

.

.

.

.

Drifting deeper.

.

.

.

.

.

And deeper down.

.

.

.

.

.

And in your mind's eye now.

.

.

.

.

.

In your imagination.

.

.

.

.

.

You see yourself standing on the wide hotel balcony.

.

.

.

.

.

From beyond the large double terrace doors.

.

.

.

.

.

You can hear the sound of music from within.

.

.

.

.

.

Softly tinkling and drifting.

.

.

.

.

.

Mingling with the happy sound of chatter.

.

.

.

.

.

And laughter from other hotel guests within.

.

.

.

.

.

On the horizon.

.

.

.

.

.

Behind you.

.

.

.

.

.

The sun is setting.

.

.

.

.

.

A few large fire braziers are set along the hotel terrace.

.

.

.

.

.

And you can feel the warmth of the one closest to you.

.

.

.

.

.

Listening to the crackle of the burning lugs.

.

.

.

.

.

And watching the light of the fire.

.

.

.

.

.

As it casts a play of dancing light and shadow around the balustrade that surrounds the terrace.

.

.

.

.

.

And across the large paving stones of the balcony.

.

.

.

.

.

It is the end of a clear winter's day.

.

.

.

.

.

And all about you.

.

.

.

.

.

The snowy mountains are tinted in the magical light of the setting sun.

.

.

.

.

.

The sky is alight with shades of amber.

.

.

.

.

.

And orange.

.

.

.

.

.

Which bathes the snow in a purple pink glow.

.

.

.

.

.

Never a more stunning landscape have you seen.

.

.

.

.

.

Perhaps you notice also.

.

.

.

.

.

That special phenomenon that accompanies dusk time.

.

.

.

.

.

A blanketing stillness.

.

.

.

.

.

And quietness.

.

.

.

.

.

It is as if the landscape itself is preparing to rest and sleep with the approaching darkness of night.

.

.

.

.

.

You are wrapped up in warm clothes.

.

.

.

.

.

Feeling the perfect temperature for you.

.

.

.

.

.

You are also aware of the sensation of the fresh.

.

.

.

.

.

Cool air on your cheeks.

.

.

.

.

.

Listening to the magical music that is emanating from the hotel lounge.

.

.

.

.

.

You decide to go back inside.

.

.

.

.

.

Silently pushing open the French doors.

.

.

.

.

.

Stepping within.

.

.

.

.

.

And allowing the terrace doors to close quietly behind you.

.

.

.

.

.

You find yourself a comfortable armchair next to the large fireplace.

.

.

.

.

.

To sit back and relax in the tranquil luxury of this old world hotel.

.

.

.

.

.

The room itself is large.

.

.

.

.

.

With high ceilings.

.

.

.

.

.

And the most beautiful chinoise wallpaper depicting elegant branches.

.

.

.

.

.

With delicate leaves and pretty blossoms.

.

.

.

.

.

Among which butterflies.

.

.

.

.

.

And birds are in flight.

.

.

.

.

.

Or perched upon a tree branch.

.

.

.

.

.

There is one large crystal chandelier hanging from an ornate ceiling rose in the centre of the lounge.

.

.

.

.

.

Along with two smaller chandeliers either side an equidistant from the walls.

.

.

.

.

.

All of the chandeliers are low lit.

.

.

.

.

.

And emit a soft diffuse light that is accompanied with beautiful antique lamps placed on various tables.

.

.

.

.

.

The Persian rug beneath your feet is plush with a beautiful oriental design.

.

.

.

.

.

The warmth of the fire.

.

.

.

.

.

The relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.

.

.

.

.

.

And a sense of well-being and comfort.

.

.

.

.

.

All combine to allow you to relax more deeply.

.

.

.

.

.

To drift down into a deep safe state of hypnosis.

.

.

.

.

.

Perceiving a soft wave of ease and contentment as it flows through your body.

.

.

.

.

.

And your mind.

.

.

.

.

.

So very relaxed and sleepy.

.

.

.

.

.

You see.

.

.

.

.

.

Feel.

.

.

.

.

.

Experience your body as it floats down into the most peaceful tranquillity.

.

.

.

.

.

And calm.

.

.

.

.

.

And in your mind's eye now.

.

.

.

.

.

You see yourself in the hotel elevator.

.

.

.

.

.

And though it is of an art deco design.

.

.

.

.

.

It is perfectly safe and serenely silent.

.

.

.

.

.

The elevator doors close softly.

.

.

.

.

.

And as the lift begins to move upwards.

.

.

.

.

.

I will slowly count down the floors from ten to one.

.

.

.

.

.

And with each descending number.

.

.

.

.

.

You feel your body relax more deeply.

.

.

.

.

.

Feeling quieter and quieter still.

.

.

.

.

.

Starting on ten.

.

.

.

.

.

Drifting.

.

.

.

.

.

Floating into the most serene sleep.

.

.

.

.

.

Nine.

.

.

.

.

.

Soft waves of comfort and bliss flowing through your body.

.

.

.

.

.

Eight.

.

.

.

.

.

Letting go to deeper sensations of peace and relaxation.

.

.

.

.

.

Seven.

.

.

.

.

.

Safe.

.

.

.

.

.

Happy.

.

.

.

.

.

Ten.

.

.

.

.

.

Six.

.

.

.

.

.

Sleepier.

.

.

.

.

.

And sleepier.

.

.

.

.

.

Five.

.

.

.

.

.

Your body sinking deeper down into your mattress.

.

.

.

.

.

Four.

.

.

.

.

.

Tranquil.

.

.

.

.

.

Quiet.

.

.

.

.

.

And still.

.

.

.

.

.

Three.

.

.

.

.

.

Floating down into the landscape of your dreams.

.

.

.

.

.

Two.

.

.

.

.

.

All the way down.

.

.

.

.

.

One.

.

.

.

.

.

Waves of ease.

.

.

.

.

.

And peace continuing to comfort.

.

.

.

.

.

And soothe you.

.

.

.

.

.

You see yourself in your beautiful hotel bedroom.

.

.

.

.

.

The room is large.

.

.

.

.

.

And luxurious.

.

.

.

.

.

You are tucked up cosy.

.

.

.

.

.

And sleepy.

.

.

.

.

.

In your neat four-poster bed.

.

.

.

.

.

The fire softly crackles from the fireplace.

.

.

.

.

.

And a warm amber glow softly emanates.

.

.

.

.

.

And bathes the room in a soothing.

.

.

.

.

.

Relaxing light.

.

.

.

.

.

Watching the flickering fire.

.

.

.

.

.

And listening to the soft crackle of the burning lugs.

.

.

.

.

.

And the ticking of the grandfather clock.

.

.

.

.

.

You can feel the fresh bed linen against your skin.

.

.

.

.

.

And allow your body to sink more heavily down into your bed.

.

.

.

.

.

Surrendering to sleep.

.

.

.

.

.

And dreams.

.

.

.

.

.

Taking with you into your everyday waking state.

.

.

.

.

.

All the benefits of this relaxing hotel journey.

.

.

.

.

.

How good it feels.

.

.

.

.

.

Physically.

.

.

.

.

.

And mentally.

.

.

.

.

.

To take a break from the outside world.

.

.

.

.

.

To be pampered.

.

.

.

.

.

And soothed.

.

.

.

.

.

In this luxurious spa hotel.

.

.

.

.

So that you awake only at a time that you set for yourself.

.

.

.

.

Feeling relaxed.

.

.

.

.

.

Rejuvenated.

.

.

.

.

.

Content.

.

.

.

.

.

And focused.

.

.

.

.

.

And to help you let go more deeply.

.

.

.

.

.

I will shortly guide you through a relaxing body scan.

.

.

.

.

.

As your attention travels over your body.

.

.

.

.

.

You allow that part to relax more deeply.

.

.

.

.

.

So that as your muscles smooth.

.

.

.

.

.

And let go.

.

.

.

.

.

You drift deeper down into tranquility.

.

.

.

.

.

And sleep.

.

.

.

.

.

Bringing your attention to the top of your head.

.

.

.

.

.

And then slowly.

.

.

.

.

.

And softly.

.

.

.

.

.

Travel down your forehead.

.

.

.

.

.

And over your eyes.

.

.

.

.

.

All those small facial muscles.

.

.

.

.

.

Letting go.

.

.

.

.

.

Soothing sensations of ease.

.

.

.

.

.

And peace.

.

.

.

.

.

Continuing to relax your body.

.

.

.

.

.

And quieten your mind.

.

.

.

.

.

As your attention flows lightly down your face.

.

.

.

.

.

To your jaw.

.

.

.

.

.

Parting your teeth just a little.

.

.

.

.

.

Continuing to let go.

.

.

.

.

.

Drift.

.

.

.

.

.

And float.

.

.

.

.

.

As your attention.

.

.

.

.

.

The soft balm of your awareness.

.

.

.

.

.

Tingles gently down the back of your neck.

.

.

.

.

.

And slowly.

.

.

.

.

.

Across your shoulders.

.

.

.

.

.

Quieter.

.

.

.

.

.

And quieter.

.

.

.

.

.

Still.

.

.

.

.

.

So sleepy.

.

.

.

.

.

Happy.

.

.

.

.

.

Continuing to travel lightly down your arms.

.

.

.

.

.

To your elbows.

.

.

.

.

.

Your wrists.

.

.

.

.

.

To your hands.

.

.

.

.

.

To the tips of your fingers.

.

.

.

.

.

Surrendering to sleep.

.

.

.

.

.

And comfort.

.

.

.

.

.

As your attention travels lightly.

.

.

.

.

.

Across your chest.

.

.

.

.

.

And down to your tummy.

.

.

.

.

.

Across your upper back.

.

.

.

.

.

And softly down.

.

.

.

.

.

Down.

.

.

.

.

.

Down.

.

.

.

.

.

All the way down to your lower back.

.

.

.

.

.

Sinking down into your bed.

.

.

.

.

.

Continuing to your legs.

.

.

.

.

.

Your thighs.

.

.

.

.

.

Knees.

.

.

.

.

.

Calf.

.

.

.

.

.

Ankles.

.

.

.

.

.

To your feet.

.

.

.

.

.

The way down to the tips of your toes.

.

.

.

.

.

So peaceful.

.

.

.

.

.

And serene.

.

.

.

.

.

Experiencing in your everyday waking state.

.

.

.

.

.

The perception of quiet confidence.

.

.

.

.

.

Inner peace.

.

.

.

.

.

And focus.

.

.

.

.

.

Drifting deeply down into the most rejuvenating sleep.
