Thank you so much for taking this time to just check in with yourself,
Check in with your mind and your body.
And thank you for spending it with me and everyone else listening and meditating today.
Today our mindfulness meditation will be focused on work life and perhaps finding a better way of operating with our work life.
Because we have just a little time today together I say we just jump right in and let's begin with orienting ourselves with a breath.
Just a rich,
Rich,
Rich,
Beautiful expansive breath.
Breathe in and breathe out with a sigh ahhhhh.
Let's try that again.
Breathe in and breathe out with a sigh ahhhhh.
Come on let's breathe in again.
Let's do it.
Breathe in and this time breathe out with a sigh but as loud as you can ahhhhh.
Oh very good.
Now find a comfortable position just now as you're enjoying what you just did to your body with this breath.
That position might be lying down for you,
That position might be sitting up or sitting in a chair or with your chest,
Your back and a wall.
Where that position is for you perhaps find that position just now and get settled into that position.
And continue to focus on your breathing and I want you to soften your gaze,
Release the tension in the eyebrows and the eyelids right now.
So just soften your gaze or if it feels right close your eyes.
This moment is so very rich with life and so as you focus on your breath just now you might hear that life around you.
You don't have to focus on those sounds that you may hear and just allow them to be a part of your experience right now.
I want to ask that you shake your arms a bit softly,
Sort of shake out the tension in your shoulders right now.
Shake out the tension in your hands,
Your arms.
Move your spine around if you can,
If that feels right for you.
If it feels right for you,
Do circles with your neck and your head.
Just loosen up the muscles,
The tension in the neck and when you're done come to a still posed position and take a very deep breath and exhale out.
So good,
So very good.
And some believe that as you meditate you will be able to feel the tension in your body.
Is that clear?
Mind without life.
You are rich with life,
You are filled with life,
And so your mind is as well.
And your mind is a computer,
If you will,
And it is a machine operating for your observance to help you keep safe or focused on your tasks at hand.
But now,
I'd ask that you just witness,
Like a TV or a movie or what have you,
You just witness what comes across your mind and allow those images and ideas to just flow away from you as we stay focused on our breath.
And our breath grounds us to right now.
Our breath is not happening moments before,
Our breath is not happening moments afterwards.
Our breath is happening right now.
And so it is our anchor into the right now.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here.
Be here now.
Be here.
Be here now.
Now.
And perhaps at this time if you are experiencing any of these feelings,
Any tension at all in the face,
I'd ask that you allow the cheekbones to just rest.
No need to smile or speak or do anything at this point.
Your experience is all about releasing,
Just witnessing your experience.
Anchored into the now with your breath.
It's such expansive quality,
The now.
And this richness.
Feel an expanding of yourself.
And when you're ready,
I'd like for you to say after me these words.
May there be peace in my work mind state.
May there be peace in my work place.
May there be peace in my work mind state.
May there be peace in my work place.
May there be peace in my work mind state.
May there be peace in my work place.
And now take a deep breath for a five count.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five and exhale.
Deep sigh.
Take another deep breath for a five count.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five and exhale.
With a sigh,
Ahhhh.
And be here now.
And now take a deep breath for a five count.
And now take a deep breath for a five count.
Be here now.
And as we near the end of our time together just now,
I'd like for you to remind yourself of the great grand internal wisdom it took for you to find this time for yourself.
The wise thought that drove you to whittle out time for you and your mind and your experience.
You commended and you were held to the highest regard in my perspective.
I'd like to thank you again for finding this time.
And if it feels right for you just now,
Allow yourself to open your eyes,
Just softly.
And ready yourself for your next moment.
Remember your breath is a refuge.
You can find it at any time.
It is a anchor for this wonderful experience we have.
This life.
Thank you again for your time.
I am California now.
Thank you.
Thank you.
