Hello,
This is Carrie Logan at Empowered Within.
I'd like for you to take this moment to just relax,
To find a place where you can maybe just get away from it all.
It could be a quiet room,
It could be in your office with the door closed,
And if you can't find a place,
Then let's create it in your mind.
And so paint the picture in your mind of a beautiful place that is so peaceful and tranquil.
And breathe in the air of this place.
Breathe it in deep into your lungs.
Feel the belly rise and fall.
And let's awaken your senses.
Notice how this place makes you feel.
It's your own sacred space.
And look around.
Breathe it in.
Soak in its essence.
And look at the sky,
Maybe the position of the sun.
It's a beautiful,
Peaceful place just for you.
And as you continue to relax even more,
Know that you can just quiet that busy mind,
To just be in this moment and listen and sense and feel how you can just drift on down to the center of you,
To that calm,
Peaceful spirit that lives within your heart.
And it does feel so good to be so calm,
So comfortable,
So relaxed.
And in this wonderful place of yours,
I want you to picture this healing white light surrounding you now,
Bathing your body in a healing warmth.
And as you do,
You can feel sparks of energy tingling and flowing throughout your entire body.
This healing light is with you 24 hours a day,
Each and every day,
Supporting you so that you will remain calm and relaxed in every situation that you occur around you.
This also aids in the healing process.
And you'll notice you're able to neutralize all negativity that would cause you to become nervous,
Upset,
Irritable,
Angry,
Or hurt.
And what you do,
Dear one,
When you feel that anxiety,
That nervousness from wearing a face mask,
You stop.
Just like a bright red stop sign,
You stop.
You step back in your mind and you take a deep breath and you feel the inner peace and tranquility.
And this begins to calm you and relax you in all situations.
It also aids the body in becoming more centered,
More balanced.
It supports your mind and becoming more mindful of your surroundings and your situation.
Now in a moment,
I'm going to ask you to think of these numbers five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
And one.
Think of those numbers in your mind now.
Continue relaxing as you think of each number.
From now on,
Each number will have an additional meaning.
And every time you think or say the numbers from five through one,
The meaning for the number will keep getting stronger in your life.
Five means that you relax peacefully and calmly.
See the number five in your mind's eye.
Five.
Every time you think or say five,
Your subconscious mind will cause you to relax more calmly and peacefully.
And that is what you want,
Isn't it?
Of course.
Four means that the relaxation is focusing primarily on the area of the chest and lungs.
See the number four.
Feel the relaxation within your chest and lungs.
Three means your entire body is cooperating by causing your lungs to function normally,
Enabling you to inhale and exhale easily and freely when wearing a mask or in any situation in which you find yourself.
See the number three.
Two means you are free from fears,
Anxieties,
Tensions,
And worry.
You are safe and secure,
Calm,
And relaxed.
See the number two.
One means your mind and body is working in perfect harmony,
Causing all the organs of your body to function normally.
See the number one.
Good.
From now on,
And for the rest of your life,
My friend,
Anytime you hear or think the sequence of numbers from five through one,
The meaning of the number will continue to get stronger and stronger within your mind.
So right now,
I'd like you to think of those numbers from five to one,
As you continue to relax even more deeply,
Allowing each number to become reinforced and imprinted within your mind.
That's it.
Now I want you to imagine that you're wearing a face mask.
You're calm.
You're relaxed.
You might be wearing the mask for 10 minutes,
Maybe 20,
30 minutes,
An hour,
Maybe for eight or 10 hours.
It doesn't matter,
But see yourself,
Feel yourself wearing the mask.
You are mindful.
You are calm and relaxed.
Feel the air passing easily through your nostrils or your mouth.
It moves down your windpipe and into your lungs.
You realize that you are in control of your breathing,
Complete control.
From now on,
Whenever you feel that quick urge of anxiety,
You can quickly stop it by counting downward,
Out loud or in your mind.
The numbers five through one.
And at the same time,
You concentrate on your breathing.
You relax your breathing and you begin to imagine yourself in your sacred space where you're breathing in clear,
Relaxing air.
And you feel this air going deep into your lungs as your breathing returns to normal.
Because your mind understands that you want to rid yourself of the anxiety,
Of the fear of wearing a face mask.
And you know that this situation is really only temporary.
It's for your safety.
So you have to get out of your rigid way of thinking.
It's really for your protection.
And to maybe help you think differently or to change your perspective.
I want you to know that automobiles were created in 1886.
The first Model T in 1908 was created for the masses.
Now you might be wondering why I'm telling you this story.
Well,
It's very simple.
82 years later,
The seatbelt was enforced for the masses.
It became a requirement,
A law to the US motorcycle vehicle safety standards.
And you know what?
People revolted.
People were angry.
People were upset.
And let's take it a step further.
There became the child's safety seats.
I grew up my whole childhood not even wearing a seatbelt at times,
Let alone in a child's safety seat.
And why do they do this?
It's to protect lives.
It's for your safety and well-being.
And so there are requirements like seatbelts,
Bike helmets,
Motorcycle helmets,
And even sport protective gear.
All these things are visual.
Yet the coronavirus is invisible.
You can't see it.
So it's more hard to explain or sometimes comprehend.
But it's for your protection.
The protection of your friends and family.
The protection of the workers,
People in hospitals,
Grocery stores.
It's not a punishment or a way to control you.
It's to keep you safe.
Because you matter.
Every life matters.
And so it's just being mindful.
It's just being safe.
I mean,
Think of all the places that you don't have to wear a mask.
For some it's a large majority of time.
And for others it is not.
It's what they have to do.
It's what they need to do.
To put food on the table.
To pay their bills.
And so you are beginning to think about your situation differently.
With less anxiety.
With less irritability and anger.
And you always remember that it's only temporary.
Because there are people out there like me.
And even my son that needs your support.
Because you know what?
My son is high risk.
And because of that,
I am high risk as well.
I'm Ollie Scott.
So we need your support.
Your family needs your support.
Your friends.
Your pets.
Your coworkers.
And everyone in the community needs your support.
And it's just temporary.
You're going to be okay.
We're all going to get through this.
And so be safe,
My friend.
Remember to utilize your numbers.
From five to one.
You'll be okay.
You will be okay.
And so relax and enjoy.
And realize that you do have options.
There are many different types of masks.
There are even those plastic shields.
There's a cloth mask.
A medical grade.
A paper grade.
You will find one that is comfortable for you.
And so relax.
Make the best of the situation.
And it will soon pass.
And so just be peaceful and calm.
You're okay.
You're okay.
And it is so.
Thank you.
