Thank you for being here.
The intention of this session is to help you go to sleep with much more peace and calm in your mind,
Body and soul.
Sounds nice,
Doesn't it?
When the mind won't shut off though,
That is not easy and that's what we're going to work on today.
Working on reducing and even dissolving that mental activity,
That mental energy on overdrive.
We're going to do so with tapping.
I will ask you to follow along with me,
Tap where I tap and say out loud what I say.
Let's begin.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind just won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
My mind won't shut off.
Deep breath in and breathe out.
Okay,
Good.
That was first round.
So we focus on the issue and then we work through the layers.
Round two.
Even though my mind won't shut off,
I'm open to the possibility that it actually can calm down.
But my mind won't shut off.
I wish it could calm down.
But my mind won't shut off.
I could be open for it to shut off.
I could be open for it to shut up.
It would be good if my mind could just calm down.
Just reduce the activity just a little bit.
But my mind won't shut off.
What if it can?
What if it's already started to shut off?
What if it's already started to reduce that activity?
What if it's already started to calm down a little bit?
What if it's already started to calm down?
My mind is too active.
There's too many things to think about.
But I could still be open for it to calm down.
Okay,
Deep breath in and breathe out.
All right,
Notice how you're feeling.
Breathe,
Yawn,
Move,
Do what you need to do.
Round three.
Even though my mind won't shut off when it's time to sleep,
I allow myself to let go of the need to fight thoughts with thoughts.
I let go of this inner battle and allow myself to calm down.
But my mind won't shut off.
I choose to stop fighting thoughts with thoughts.
I allow myself to let go,
If only a little bit,
If only for a little while.
If only enough to help me go to sleep.
I have all these thoughts and my mind won't shut off.
What if I allowed my shoulders to settle,
My eyes to soften,
My heart could soften.
I wonder what would happen.
I wonder if that would help me.
I wonder if that would allow things to calm down.
To find some quiet,
Some peace,
Some harmony in my body and mind.
That would be good.
But I allow my mind to shut off.
It's okay.
It's actually okay to relax.
Notice how you're feeling.
Notice what's going on.
And allow your shoulders to sink a bit.
Allow your system,
Your mind and body to soften a little bit.
Just soften the muscles between your eyes,
Around your eyes and the forehead.
Just soften a little bit,
If that's possible.
You know,
Instead of squinting and being serious,
Just soften.
Round four.
Even though there's a part of me that won't shut off,
It seems like it wants attention.
Seems like all these thoughts come up when I'm going to sleep.
Where are they during the day?
Why aren't I thinking these thoughts and focusing on solutions during the day?
What if I could set off time for that?
What if I could reflect more during the day,
Write down my thoughts?
Write down the important ones,
So I could go to sleep when it's time to sleep?
That would be nice.
This part of me that keeps thinking.
This part of me that wants to solve things.
This part of me that is trying to keep me safe in some way.
This part of me that wants attention.
This part of me that can't let go that easy.
I wonder what this part wants.
What is it that I need?
What is it that I'm after?
Maybe this part of me don't feel safe before it can solve things.
Or maybe this part of me just don't feel safe relaxing for some reason.
I choose to validate this part of me.
I choose to love and accept that part of me.
It is okay.
As if that part of me is my inner child that wants comfort.
I can give that child comfort.
All right,
Round five.
I can't go to sleep.
Yes,
I can.
No,
I can't relax at all.
So how can I go to sleep?
Of course I can go to sleep.
I've gone to sleep every day since I was born.
No,
No,
Not today.
Today is the day to stay awake and just think,
Think,
Think,
Think,
Think,
Think,
Think.
That's not true.
Today can be the day where I sleep,
Sleep,
And sleep.
What if I go to sleep and sleep deeper than ever?
No,
You can't.
You have to stay awake because there's so much to think about.
All these thoughts,
All these things to worry about,
All these things to try to solve,
All this past,
All this future stuff.
We have to think.
Of course.
I have free will.
I have agency.
I have the power to focus.
Where I want to focus.
And I'm choosing to step into that power now.
I choose to relax because it's safe.
Safe to relax.
Safe to let go.
And it's safe to go to sleep.
All right.
For the last round,
Just tap very lightly.
Or even just massage the points.
Even though it's been a struggle,
All these thoughts,
My mind won't shut off.
I allow myself to let go and forgive all parts of me that have been struggling,
Fighting,
Battling these thoughts.
It's safe to relax now.
I allow myself to settle.
Having my shoulders up under my ears doesn't help.
I can drop them down.
I can relax them.
I can allow my body to soften.
I can allow my arms to soften.
My neck,
My back,
My chest,
My breath.
I can allow my feet.
To soften.
To get heavier and more sleepy.
I allow myself to get more sleepy.
And I can even start to look a bit forward to drifting off to sleep.
Waking up refreshed tomorrow.
Going to sleep now.
I'm going to sleep with a smile in my heart.
I could do that.
Or maybe just my feet smiling a little bit because they're relaxing and looking forward to good night's sleep.
I allow myself to let go,
Relax,
And go to sleep now.
That's it.
Now,
Before you drift off,
I want to ask you to close your eyes a little bit.
And when you do so,
Put one hand on your chest,
One hand on your forehead.
Just close your eyes if you want to,
If you haven't done it already.
And imagine your muscles melting,
Like an ice cube in a glass of warm water.
And your body just settling.
And it's okay.
It's safe to settle.
Safe to sleep.
And that ice cube just melts more and more as the muscles around your eyes and inside your eyes melt.
You can allow your torso,
Your abdomen,
Your thighs,
Your feet just let go a little bit.
And you can come back a little bit here now,
And maybe you want to turn off this video and go to sleep.
Thanks again for being here,
And good night.
