In this one-minute guided mindfulness session, we'll use pausing and breathing to stimulate your senses and reset your body and mind. By checking in instead of checking out we'll refresh your body, clear your mind, and open up space for deeper, more expansive breaths.

Transcript

Watching TV does sound like a good idea to relax,

But we're going to take a moment here to actually notice what's going on in the mind while you sit here.

You'll sit yourself away from the back of the couch,

Sit up nice and tall,

And begin to notice if the thoughts are fast or slow.

You'll bring your awareness into the breath,

And start to allow the belly to expand and fill.

You'll give the shoulders a roll up towards your ears,

And a nice heavy drop with your next exhale.

Draw them down the back.

So one of the things you can notice is that you can bring relaxation into the body and the mind just by checking in.

You don't always need to check out.

If you like how this feels,

I'll see you here tomorrow for your next one minute of mindfulness.

Dipping my toe in the water gives me a vision for swimming daily.
