So go ahead and just take a moment to settle in for your meditation practice.
Maybe there's something that you want to do to make this extra special and just make sure you're in a place where you won't be disturbed for a few minutes.
Then just release expectations,
Letting it all go,
Just giving yourself permission to take these next few minutes just to honor you,
All parts of you.
We'll start to quiet the mind and soften the body just by taking a few deep breaths.
So inhale deeply through your nose,
Maybe hold for a moment,
And you can exhale slowly through your mouth.
You can do this a few more times,
Just slowly and with ease.
With every breath cycle,
Just release any tension in your body and try to slow down and quiet the thoughts moving through your mind.
And now settle into a smooth,
Effortless rhythm of breath,
Allowing your breath just to be fluid,
Easy.
And as you breathe,
Imagine there's this bright light that begins to surround you,
Creating a safe cocoon that protects you and gives you comfort and security as we begin to explore our shadows.
Every breath cycle,
See this big ball,
This cocoon of light get bigger,
Brighter,
Until it eventually encompasses your entire body.
And as you rest in this cocoon of light,
Just ease into your breath and call forward your shadow.
You can just call it forward with curiosity,
Knowing that there is nothing to worry about or be afraid here.
And it may not appear at first,
But you might begin to sense or see the presence of your shadow self.
It may appear as a figure,
An animal,
Or any other form.
Just continue to breathe,
Resting in that cocoon of light,
Connecting with your shadow side with openness,
Curiosity,
Just getting a picture of what your shadow is.
And now begin to engage with your shadow self.
You can connect with it,
You can ask questions,
Like what are you made up of?
What do you represent in my life?
Why am I keeping you in the shadows?
You can ask it if it has any messages for you.
Just continue to breathe,
Staying nice and safe in that cocoon of light,
Just connecting with your shadow side,
Being inquisitive,
Continuing to engage with the shadow side,
Making sure not to judge or make any assumptions about your shadow,
But just listen openly to what it has to say.
Taking a few more moments with your shadow,
You can ask it more questions if you'd like,
Just finding out what it is that you're made up of.
And now thank your shadow for what it had to share with you,
And embrace your shadow with love and understanding,
Just recognizing that these aspects are a part of you,
Shaped by your life experiences and circumstances.
And now,
As you're ready to let go of your shadow,
Embrace your shadow as an important part of your growth and your evolution.
And now extend forgiveness and healing to your shadow self and to yourself.
Release any guilt,
Shame,
Or negative emotions associated with your shadow self.
And now,
As you're ready to let go of your shadow,
Embrace your shadow as an important part of your growth and your evolution.
Release any guilt,
Shame,
Or negative emotions associated with these hidden aspects or these parts we push away.
And visualize this radiant healing light that's all around you.
See that light emerge from your heart center and move to your shadow self.
Extend this light further and further to your shadow self,
Surrounding it with warmth and compassion.
And just see your shadow self transforming,
Becoming lighter as this light surrounds it,
And it becomes a part of you.
Experience a sense of wholeness and completeness as you integrate with your shadow.
The two of you surrounded by this bright,
Healing,
Vibrant light as you come together as one.
And just tell yourself three times,
I accept and honor all parts of myself.
And just take a few final moments to integrate with your shadow,
Sending it love,
Forgiveness,
Compassion,
Welcoming it back as a part of you.
And then when you're ready,
You can just begin to transition your awareness back to your surroundings.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Maybe sense the room around you.
You could rub your hands together,
Anything else that feels natural,
As you gently reawaken and bring your meditation to a close.
