Let's find a comfortable position to meditate.
Knowing that it's the end of the day.
Maybe taking some time to get extra cozy.
You could be sitting or lying down.
Anything else that feels good and supportive for your body.
And give yourself permission.
To begin winding down.
There is nowhere else that you need to be.
There's nothing you need to figure out.
But just allow yourself to be here for a moment.
Taking a slow breath in through your nose,
Filling up the belly.
And then taking a long,
Deep breath out of the mouth.
Doing that again,
Big,
Full,
Deep breaths.
And then a long,
Complete breath out.
Allowing your breath to find its natural rhythm.
Noticing the weight of your body.
Being supported by the surface beneath you.
Beginning to soften the body as you sink into those points between yourself and the surface beneath you.
Softening the space around your eyes.
Unclenching your jaws.
Allowing your shoulders.
To release away from the ear.
Softening your fingers and relaxing your belly.
Releasing through the hips and softening the legs.
All the way down to your toes.
Imagining that as you breathe,
Your entire body becomes heavier with each exhale.
Giving your body permission to release any physical tension lingering from the day.
And now bringing your awareness to the day behind you.
You don't need to replay or analyze it.
And just acknowledge that the day is done and that it's coming to an end.
Whatever you accomplished today was enough.
Whatever remains unfinished can wait.
Any decisions that you need to make.
Will still be there tomorrow.
And for now,
Your only job is to let the day be done.
Imagining that everything you've been carrying around,
Physically,
Mentally,
Emotionally,
Just slides off of your body.
Goes on to the floor.
And it's gone for the evening.
Your plans,
Your to-do list,
The little things you're still thinking about.
To set them down,
Knowing you don't need to solve tomorrow's problems tonight.
Giving yourself permission.
To be done with the day.
And taking three big deep breaths in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Doing that two more times.
And blinking the eyes open.
And closing your meditation practice.
Thank you for ending your day with me.
And I hope you have a great night.
